For more information, please visitthe.team.\nJOB OVERVIEW:\nThe Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing support for payroll-related inquiries. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to employees.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\nPayroll Processing:\nProcess payroll for all North American operations; including US and Canada.\n\nEnsure accurate and timely submission of payroll, adhering to company policies and legal requirements.\n\nVerify and input payroll data, including time and attendance records, new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.\n\nCompliance & Record Keeping:\nMaintain compliance with country, federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax filings and wage and hour laws.\n\nPrepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports, ensuring all employee information is up-to-date and confidential.\n\nAssist in preparing and filing payroll-related tax forms, including W-2s, 1099s, T4s and other required documents.\n\nEmployee Support:\nServe as the primary point of contact for basic employee payroll-related inquiries, providing clear and timely responses or escalations.\n\nAssist employees with understanding their paychecks, deductions, and benefits, ensuring they have the information they need.\n\nEducate employees on payroll procedures and policies, helping them navigate any issues or concerns.\n\nAudit & Reconciliation:\nConduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.\n\nReconcile payroll accounts, resolving discrepancies between payroll and financial records.\n\nCollaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate payroll reporting and reconciliation.\n\nSystem Management:\nMaintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.\n\nSupport payroll system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features or processes.\n\nTroubleshoot payroll system issues and work with IT and HR to resolve any problems.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\n1-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role. .\n\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to handle confidential information with discretion.\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nBase salary range: $56K-60K, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.\nActual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
