Compassionate, Expert-Led Rehab & Mental Health Care for Lasting Recovery. With physician-led care, evidence-based therapies, and locations across the country, we help individuals reclaim their lives and achieve lasting recovery.

Seeking a Technical QA/Application Support Specialist to join our team!

Fully Remote - you must reside near one of our facilities.

This position supports one of the trusted behavioral health programs within the Advanced Recovery Systems family. Advanced Recovery Systems is the parent organization of Promises Behavioral Health, The Right Step, and The Ranch, bringing together established treatment brands with a shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based addiction and mental health care.

While you may work primarily with a specific facility or brand, you will be part of a larger, growing organization focused on improving patient outcomes, supporting our employees and strengthening the communities we serve.

This role works within Agile sprint cycles to deliver assigned development and configuration work, validate workflows and integrations, and confirm that solutions are ready for leadership review, stakeholder demos, and release. The Specialist also acts as a key quality gate, ensuring work meets defined requirements before it moves forward.

This position combines hands-on development and DevOps work - platform configuration and code, source control, environment and release management, and API integration - with technical QA and end-user application support across the Kipu EHR, Salesforce, and AI-enabled tools.

CORE JOB DUTIES:

Technical QA & Testing Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation scenarios for:
    • EHR workflows, configurations, and reports
    • Salesforce automations, flows, and integrations
    • AI-enabled workflows and automated processes
    • API integrations, data mapping, and cross-system data exchange
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and negative testing

· Evaluating the outcome of each test cycle.

  • Validate workflow logic, data integrity, and system outcomes
  • Identify, document, and track defects, risks, and dependencies

· Report testing progress, defects and successful rates of each test cycle.

Demo & Release Readiness Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the QA checkpoint before solutions are demonstrated to leadership or stakeholders
  • Validate demo data and scenarios to ensure stable and predictable behavior
  • Provide go/no-go readiness recommendations
  • Communicate testing outcomes, risks, and outstanding issues to project teams and leadership
  • Re-test fixes and confirm readiness prior to demo or release

Application Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support for the EHR, Salesforce, API integrations, and AI-enabled tools

· Responding to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

  • Serve as a point of contact for application-related incidents and service requests
  • Troubleshoot common application issues, workflow errors, and user access problems
  • Document issues, resolutions, and recurring trends
  • Escalate complex issues to advanced support teams or vendors
  • Support user communication during incidents or outages
  • Responding to customer inquiries via multiple channels (Email, phone, chat).
  • Support for any future, internal or external, therapeutic application projects.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement Responsibilities:

  • Maintain QA documentation, test artifacts, and readiness checklists
  • Contribute to QA standards, support procedures, and knowledge base materials
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend workflow or system improvements
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Agile Development & Sprint Alignment Responsibilities:

  • Participating in Agile sprint ceremonies, including sprint reviews
  • Review user stories and acceptance criteria for clarity, completeness, and testability
  • Execute QA testing once development work is marked complete
  • Validate sprint deliverables prior to demos and release milestones
  • Collaborate with developers to clarify expected workflow behavior

Development Responsibilities:

  • Build, configure, and modify solutions across Salesforce, the EHR, and supporting applications in line with approved requirements
  • Develop Salesforce automations, including Flows, validation rules, Apex classes and triggers, and Lightning components
  • Configure EHR forms, templates, workflows, user roles, security, and reporting to support clinical and revenue cycle operations
  • Write and maintain scripts and queries (SQL, Python, or JavaScript) for data extraction, transformation, validation, and automation
  • Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into working technical solutions within sprint commitments
  • Participate in peer code and configuration reviews and apply team development standards
  • Estimate development effort and communicate progress, blockers, and technical risk to the development team

DevOps, Environment & Release Management Responsibilities:

  • Maintain source control for code and configuration, including branching, commits, pull requests, and version history in Git
  • Manage Salesforce sandboxes and Kipu non-production environments, including refreshes, test data seeding, and configuration parity with production
  • Build and execute deployment packages and change sets, promoting changes through development, test, and production environments
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tooling (for example, Salesforce DevOps Center, Gearset, or comparable)
  • Maintain release documentation, deployment runbooks, and rollback procedures
  • Perform post-deployment validation and monitor system health, scheduled jobs, and error logs
  • Follow change control, approval, and audit requirements applicable to a HIPAA-regulated environment

Integration & API Responsibilities:

  • Build, configure, and maintain API integrations between the Kipu EHR, Salesforce, and third-party or internal applications
  • Work with REST and SOAP endpoints, authentication methods, JSON/XML payloads, and field-level data mapping
  • Monitor integration jobs, troubleshoot failures and data mismatches, and coordinate resolution with vendors
  • Maintain integration documentation, including data dictionaries, mapping specifications, and error handling logic

  • Develop and refine prompts, instructions, and integration logic for AI-assisted tools
  • Validate AI output for accuracy, consistency, and appropriateness before it is released to end users
  • Monitor AI-enabled workflow performance and recommend adjustments based on outcomes and user feedback
