More than a workplace, we celebrate our successes and take pride in serving our communities.\nJob Summary\nAn Underwriting Tech plays a vital support role in ensuring service excellence by applying a thorough understanding of systems, workflows, and the manual rules and guidelines established by West Bend. This position is responsible for clearing accounts for new customers and processing non-complex policy changes with a strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and customer focus.\nWork Location\nThis position offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are located within 50 miles of a West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events. The position can be based in West Bend or Madison.\nResponsibilities & Qualifications\nInterpret and apply underwriting guidelines and procedures to support service level standards.\nReview and clear accounts for new customers and process policy change requests that do not require underwriting decisions.\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate policy service.\nMaintain a strong customer service orientation in all tasks and communications.\nAdapt to and support ongoing changes in technology, systems, and workflows.\nPreferred Experience and Skills\n1-2 years of insurance related experience\nKnowledge of personal computers\nOrganizational and time management skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Suite\nBasic written and verbal communication skills\nBasic math and data entry skills\nAbility to work in fast paced environment\nPreferred Education and Training\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nCompletion of Associate in General Insurance Designation\nSalary Statement\nThe hourly range for this position is $17.89-$22.36.\nThe actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
