The role includes both shop and field work and requires someone who can work independently while also supporting the team when needed.\nThe equipment may include earthmoving equipment, diesel engines, gas engines, small tools, forklifts, aerial equipment, and other construction rental equipment.\nBenefits, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k), begin on the first day of employment.\nKey Responsibilities\nDiagnose, service, and repair construction rental equipment in both shop and field environments.\n\nTroubleshoot diesel engines, gas engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, fuel systems, ignition systems, exhaust systems, and related components.\n\nComplete major component repairs, removals, replacements, rebuilds, and adjustments using proper tools, service manuals, and diagnostic equipment.\n\nInspect equipment for safety, operating condition, rental readiness, and jobsite suitability.\n\nSupport emergency repair needs in the field and determine whether equipment can return to service or needs additional shop repair.\n\nOperate equipment as needed to confirm issues, test repairs, and move units safely in and out of the work area.\n\nMaintain accurate service records, work orders, annual inspections, and repair documentation.\n\nKeep tools, equipment, shop areas, and service trucks clean, organized, and maintained according to safety and manufacturer guidelines.\n\nCoordinate parts needs for assigned repairs, including ordering, tracking, and returning parts as needed.\n\nPerform welding, fabrication, and equipment enclosure or structural repairs when required.\n\nAssist and mentor less experienced technicians when needed.\n\nParticipate in required internal and external training.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n\nMinimum of 10 years of mechanical repair experience, or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education.\n\nMust have the tools needed to perform assigned work safely and efficiently.\n\nComputer and basic typing skills required.\n\nAbility to follow applicable safety standards, rules, laws, and procedures.\n\nAbility to read technical manuals and schematic diagrams.\n\nAbility to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical systems.\n\nAbility to properly document work through written work orders and computer databases.\n\nAbility to build and maintain good working relationships with coworkers and customers.\n\nWorking Conditions\nAbility to work outside in inclement weather.\n\nAbility to perform repairs in confined spaces, including under dashboards, under vehicles, and similar areas.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to reach, hold, position, maneuver, and operate hand tools and replacement parts.\n\nAbility to identify wires and other parts by color and other identifying information.\n\nAbility to use fine hand and finger movements to identify and work on parts that may not always be visible.\n\nAbility to lift, carry, position, and hold parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance.\n\nAbility to work
