This role will focus on implementing custom development, addressing cybersecurity requirements, and supporting security gap remediation efforts to help maintain compliance within a secure environment.\nThis position is remote, but must work east coast hours. Per our Federal Government contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an active Secret Clearance.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain custom applications using the Appian platform.\nImplement security-focused enhancements and remediation activities within Appian applications.\nCollaborate with development, functional, and security teams to address cybersecurity requirements.\nAnalyze and resolve security findings, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.\nDevelop and maintain integrations using REST APIs and web services.\nConfigure Appian process models, interfaces, records, reports, and business rules.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and sprint activities.\nSupport testing efforts, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.\nTroubleshoot and resolve application, security, and performance issues.\nDocument technical solutions and follow development and security best practices.\nSupport application deployments and ongoing maintenance activities.\nQualifications\nActive Secret Security Clearance.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.\n5+ years of experience with the following:\nHands-on experience with Appian custom development and process automation solutions.\nExperience applying cybersecurity principles within software development environments.\nExperience identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.\nExperience developing and maintaining API integrations, including REST services.\nExperience performing unit testing and supporting quality assurance activities.\nKnowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAppian Certified Developer or higher certification.\nExperience supporting cybersecurity compliance and authorization activities.\nExperience with application security testing and vulnerability remediation.\nExperience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.\nExperience with SQL and relational databases.\nExperience supporting federal government programs and secure environments.\nW2 Hourly rate starts at $80.
