We have opportunities for energetic, service-oriented individuals who are experienced in providing efficient service and memorable experiences.\nResponsibilities\nEstablish and maintain the property's preventative maintenance procedures for guest rooms, kitchen, equipment, public space, grounds, landscaping, building envelope, etc.\nMaintain open communications with all departments to become aware of maintenance needs and ensure a timely response.\nMaintain thorough knowledge of all building-related systems and equipment - HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen furnishings, internet infrastructure, etc.\nManage Engineering staff to ensure accountability, share knowledge of the building systems and equipment, and maintain a proactive maintenance schedule.\nMaintain a department checkbook and work with Accounting to ensure the department operates within budgeted guidelines while maintaining required supplies and materials.\nResponds in a courteous and helpful tone to all guests and team member questions, complaints, or requests to deliver on brand standards and ensures a comfortable and thoughtful guest experience.\nFundamentals\nEducation: Vocational schooling, military training, certification, and/or experience in building-related trades required in 1 or more of the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.\nExperience: 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable location. Prior hotel experience preferred.\nAbility to remain calm in stressful situations.\nRemains current on technology advances and safety protocols and makes recommendations to implement new practices.\nDemonstrated knowledge of hotel operations, security and safety programs, and maintenance scheduling.\nEffective leadership skills to engage, motivate and develop staff. Must be able to delegate, set priorities, utilize a team to execute short and long-term plans, and establish accountability in a team setting.\nProficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nExcellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.\nStrong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to positively communicate and interact with all hotel departments, external vendors, and guests.\nStudy Hotels is a drug free workplace.
