We're looking for a high-performing DevOps Engineer to perform software engineering and technical O&M support for a large and complex cloud-based computing platform.\nThe ideal candidate will be experienced in coding, scripting, and collaborating with the end users from external groups as well as partners across the community. You will deploy the environments and tools to support the data science community, creation of standalone applications and services. The location of this job is Reston, VA.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport cloud infrastructure and system administration \nSupport system operations and maintenance\nMonitor general system and server health, create solutions where needed\nTroubleshoot and resolve system issues\nAssist with security scans and security accreditation activities\nPerform system account management (managing certificates, system credentials, expiration dates)\nMaintain updated repositories on multiple fabrics\nManage backup and restore process for core services\nRequirements:\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field\n8+ years of relevant experience\nProficiency in Linux including scripting (Bash, Python) and service management\nExperience building and deploying applications in AWS (preferred),\nAzure, or Google Compute Environment\nExperience with deployment automation and continuous integration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (Git, GitLab)\nExperience with code repositories and build/development pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, or Nexus)\nHands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker,\nKubernetes, Mesos, or Marathon)\nExperience working with software development teams under source control project environments\nUS citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required\nDesired Experience:\nAt least 10 years of DevOps / software engineering experience Knowledge of SQL and relational database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS)\nExperience working with Amazon Web Services\nExperience working with distributed databases and streaming technologies, for example, Hadoop, Spark, Yarn, Hive, Trino\nKnowledge of or experience with data science applications such as Python, Anaconda, Jupyter Notebook or NiFi.\nDo you know anyone for this position, or other positions open at The Swift Group?
