This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with AWS environments, container orchestration, automation frameworks, and modern development.\nThis position requires strong technical fundamentals in Linux, cloud engineering, and automation, with an ability to collaborate across teams to implement robust and maintainable solutions.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, implement, and maintain cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure solutions in AWS environments.\nDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks.\nSupport deployment and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes or similar technologies.\nContribute to the development of custom software components and integration of open-source solutions to meet mission needs.\nApply software engineering best practices across build, deployment, and operations lifecycles.\nCollaborate with development teams to design and implement secure, automated, and repeatable pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins).\nTroubleshoot complex systems issues across cloud, network, and platform layers.\nWork within Agile development frameworks to support rapid iteration, feedback, and continuous delivery.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives that increase reliability, maintainability, and performance of mission systems.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field\nMid-level candidates: 5-8 years of relevant experience\nSenior-level candidates: 9-13 years of relevant experience \nSME-level candidates: 14+ years of relevant experience\n5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Python, Go, or similar languages)\nExperience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS\nProficient with Linux systems administration, networking, and shell scripting (Bash/Shell)\nExperience with Kubernetes or related container orchestration technologies\nFamiliarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and reliability\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nUS citizenship with an active Secret clearance; will also accept Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph\nMust be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire\nMust be available to work on-site 4-5 days per week; flexibility is required to align with customer needs\nDesired Experience:\nExperience with CI/CD tools and automated build pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Travis-CI, Jenkins)\nUnderstanding of Agile software development methodologies and associated tools (JIRA, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab)\nExperience with virtualization or storage platforms (e.g., VMware, oVirt, Proxmox, Ceph, Rook, Longhorn)\nFamiliarity with Big Data ecosystems such as Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR \nDoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent preferred\nDo you know anyone for this position, or other positions open at The Swift Group?
