This role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands-on research experience, and the ability to contribute to scientific studies that inform future products and capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEvaluate and provide guidance on the application of scientific principles and concepts. \nMaintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies, scientific theories, and industry trends through literature, academia, and technical forums. \nConduct laboratory research and execute scientific studies to support research objectives. \nPlan, design, develop, and execute scientific experiments and research initiatives. \nPerform feasibility studies to evaluate new concepts, technologies, and methodologies. \nApply scientific principles to support potential inventions and product development, often years ahead of formal product roadmaps. \nCoordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams on research activities and initiatives. \nContribute to the development of intellectual property, including research findings and innovations. \nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Physics from an accredited institution. \nMinimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the field. A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience (6 years total required). \nA PhD may substitute for 4 years of experience (4 years total required). \nIn lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted (12 years total required). \n\nExperience conducting laboratory research and executing scientific studies. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support research design and development. \nAbility to collaborate across teams and contribute to multidisciplinary research efforts.\nUS citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required\nThe Swift Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
