The position is in Herndon, VA.\nResponsibilities:\nDesigning, developing, and managing database systems, particularly focusing on AWS RDS for PostgreSQL and SQL databases\nManaging data structures and load routines to support application development and support application users\nWorking with reporting tools like Power BI\nDeveloping and interfacing with Application Program Interfaces (APIs), supporting application development teams, and leveraging AWS environments for database and application support\nThe ideal candidate will thrive in an Agile project management setting and possess a strong background in data management and processing\nRequirements:\n5+ years of relevant experience\nDemonstrated database experience preferably with PostgreSQL and SQL databases\nProficiency in working with views, triggers, and stored procedures\nStrong knowledge of SQL scripting, database indexing, and optimization techniques\nExperience in developing and interfacing with APIs\nExperience in developing, creating, and modifying data structures and load routines for business use\nExpertise in working with relational data, including cleansing, transforming, and processing structured data\nKnowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments\nExperience working within an Agile project management framework\nProven experience collaborating with diverse teams, including client staff, IT customers, and technical and non-technical stakeholders\nUS Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required\nDesired Experience:\nExperience designing, developing, and deploying AI and Generative AI models and algorithms\nExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business challenges using AI technologies\nResearching and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and GenAI\nExperience with AWS Cloud Data Migration Services\nFamiliarity with Jira for project tracking and management\nFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes\nKnowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation\nExperience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau\nAWS certifications related to data engineering or architecture\nDo you know anyone for this position, or other positions open at The Swift Group?
