This program leverages software engineering, development of web-based applications, and serverless infrastructures (AWS C2S). This position is in Herndon, VA.\nResponsibilities:\nMonitor the system’s logs and applications daily, preferably leveraging automation\nConduct system backups on an interval agreed upon with the Customer\nConduct data archiving on an interval agreed upon with the Customer\nPerform system hardening of Linux systems according to information security engineering principles and industry best practices\nMaintain all servers, including Windows servers, Linux servers, Oracle database servers, Apache servers, DNS servers and Domain controllers\nApply server patches and operating system updates in a timely fashion as defined by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)\nAssist the Customer with hardware and software acquisitions and implementation\nEnsure software licenses are renewed as appropriate\nObtain Customer waivers as necessary\nSubmit Discrepancy Reports (DR) and Requests for Change (RFC) through the appropriate Customer channels\nWork closely with the ISSM and other customer security elements as required\nRequirements:\n10+ years’ experience in configuration management\nBachelor’s degree or higher in the field of computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or other related technical discipline. \nExperience in all the following either individually or as part of a team: Linux servers, Windows servers, Oracle database servers, DNS servers, Domain controllers, network storage devices and HP servers\nExperience designing, configuring and installing information systems that include routers, servers, switches, storage systems, and laptops\nExperience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows based domains\nUS citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance\nDesired Skills:\nExperience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle including integration of build pipelines, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development\nExperience in the deployment, provisioning, operations and maintenance of Linux environments running centos and Ubuntu\nExperience working Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies such as ICD503 to ensure system security and data integrity\nExperience implementing, developing, and testing automation tools and IT infrastructure\nExperience managing virtualized infrastructure\nExperience recommending ways to improve reliability, availability, and maintainability\nDo you know anyone for this position, or other positions open at The Swift Group?
