You'll oversee the delivery of accurate financial reporting while helping to transform finance from a traditional reporting function into a proactive, commercially focused business partner.\nThis is more than a financial control role. It's an opportunity to influence business performance, drive operational improvements and lead a team of over 20 finance professionals through the next stage of growth.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nLeading and developing a high-performing finance team\nOwning the monthly management accounts and reporting cycle\nDelivering meaningful commercial insights to senior leadership\nDriving budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management\nBuilding strong relationships across operational and commercial teams\nIdentifying opportunities to improve profitability and performance\nLeading finance systems, process improvement and automation initiatives\nMaintaining robust financial controls and governance standards\nSupporting strategic finance projects and future transformation plans\nWhat We're Looking For\nYou will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a proven track record in finance leadership and business partnering.\nYou'll bring:\nExperience leading and developing sizeable finance teams\nStrong management accounting and financial reporting expertise\nThe ability to translate financial data into commercial insight\nExcellent systems knowledge and process improvement experience\nAdvanced Excel and analytical capabilities\nA proactive, commercially focused mindset\nExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills\nConfidence to challenge, influence and support operational leaders\nBonus Points For\nExperience within:\nRecruitment, staffing or temporary labour sectors\nHigh-volume payroll, billing and credit control environments\nFinance transformation and systems implementation projects\nMulti-site and/or multi-company organisations\nExperience of implementing AI solutions into systems or processes\nWhy Join The Best Connection?\nFounded in 1991, The Best Connection has grown into one of the UK's leading providers of flexible workforce solutions.
