If you have hands-on payroll experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy really matters, we’d love to hear from you.\nSalary & Benefits\n£18,200 - £18,850 DOE based on 25 hours per week.\n30 days holiday, rising to 33 days after one year (including bank holidays)\nPension scheme\nCycle-to-work scheme\nEmployee benefits platform\nFree on-site parking\nFriendly, modern office environment\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nAs a key member of the payroll team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time every week.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nWeekly Payroll ProcessingProcessing weekly payroll end-to-end, ensuring all hours, overtime, and deductions are calculated accurately and deadlines are met.\n\nPayroll AdministrationManaging day-to-day payroll tasks including starters, leavers, updating employee records, and maintaining accurate data.\n\nStatutory PaymentsCalculating and administering SSP, SMP, and SPP in line with current legislation.\n\nPensions & Auto-EnrolmentSupporting pension processes, including auto-enrolment, employee assessments, and handling opt-ins/opt-outs.\n\nEmployee SupportActing as a first point of contact for payroll queries, providing clear and helpful information to employees.\n\nCompliance & AccuracyEnsuring all payroll processes comply with HMRC regulations and are completed with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.\n\nReportingMaintaining payroll data and producing reports for internal stakeholders when required.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe’re keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:\nPrevious payroll experience (essential)\nExperience processing weekly payroll\nKnowledge of statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP)\nFamiliarity with pension auto-enrolment\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\nGood organisational and communication skills\nAbout Us\nFounded in 1991, The Best Connection is one of the UK’s leading providers of flexible workforce solutions.
