This includes designing, maintaining, and updating training content, as well as supporting counselors across Trevor’s crisis services programs with industry best practices. Utilizing our online learning platform, the Training Coordinator provides structured guidance and clear expectations for new and existing counselors, delivers empathetic feedback, and promotes volunteer and counselor success through rigor and kindness.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nCreate and maintain a safe environment for every team member and trainee, promoting inclusion and diversity as integral parts of the organizational culture.\n\nCreate, maintain and update training content and resources in collaboration with CQI, Crisis Services and Public Training to ensure relevance and accessibility as needed.\n\nCollaborate on the design of effective and up-to-date training programs that address the needs of trainees.\n\nTailor the content of training programs according to the latest research and best practices in the field.\n\nCoordinate, facilitate, and support year-round training for a high volume of trainees.\n\nSupport day to day training team operations.\n\nFacilitate engaging workshops, role-plays, support in shadow sessions and other related activities for trainees.\n\nIdentify professional development and continuous learning opportunities for counselors and collaborate with management to implement growth initiatives.\n\nRespond to all written inquiries in a timely manner.\n\nMaintain accurate trainee progress and performance data across multiple platforms.\n\nCommunicate directly with team members and leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for continuous improvement.\n\nParticipate in direct service shifts as a crisis counselor, at least 4-hour shift per month to maintain familiarity with operational and clinical procedures\n\nWork closely with teams across the vertical to ensure consistency and alignment of training programs with organizational goals.\n\nConduct training program evaluations, analyze training data and utilize this information to iterate and continuously improve training programs.\n\nRespond to all written inquiries in a timely manner.\n\nSupport vertical and organizational goals and initiatives.\n\nContribute to our critical mission of ending suicide among LGBTQ+ young people, while fostering an inclusive approach to your direct work and engagement with Trevor colleagues across the organization\n\nContinually develop your LGBTQ+ competency and awareness\n\nDemonstrate fair, ethical, and equitable business practices\n\nLearn eagerly, share knowledge appropriately, and improve continuously\n\nDemonstrate successful planning and problem-solving skills, including multitasking and working well within tight timelines\n\nWork, communicate, and collaborate effectively with others, including in stressful scenarios.\n\nStrong Qualifications:\nProven successful, relevant experience in designing and facilitating training or educational programs.\n\nProficiency in computer tools and online training platforms.\n\nAbility to create effective training materials, manuals, and visual resources.\n\nExcellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.\n\nEmpathy and sensitivity to address issues related to trauma and consent.\n\nCommitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of confidential information.\n\nFormal studies or certifications in training, education, or pedagogy are preferred.\n\nExperience in team management or leadership.\n\nExperience in handling crisis situations or providing emotional support.\n\nSensitivity to the issues and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.\n\nExperience in measuring the impact of training programs and collecting data for continuous
