The opportunity

This role sits within a high-performing Cloud Operations team responsible for managing and evolving the University's cloud platformsand services.

You'llwork across a diverse multi-cloud environment(AWS & Azure), tackling complex infrastructure, networking and security challenges while driving automation and operational improvements that enable teams to move faster and more securely.

Partnering with experienced engineers, managed serviceprovidersand stakeholders across ICT,you'llplay a key role in delivering secure,reliableand scalable cloud services while helping shape the team's future ways of working.

Whatyou’lldo

  • Support and optimise cloud platforms across AWS,Azureand hybrid environments.

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure,networkingand security issues tomaintainreliable services.

  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.

  • Collaborate with managed service providers, technicalteamsand stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions and service improvements.

  • Monitor cloud performance, availability,securityand cost, helping ensure services remain scalable and fit for purpose.

Whatwe’relooking for

  • Must have experienced working in large and complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong experience supporting cloud infrastructure within AWS,Azureor multi-cloud environments.

  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, infrastructure operations and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

  • Experience working with automation, DevOps practices, monitoringtoolsand modern cloud operations.

  • Soundstakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, operationalexcellenceand cloud technologies.
