As Finance Director, you will ensure accurate reporting, maintain governance and compliance, and provide our leadership team and shareholders with clear financial insights to support strategic decision-making.Key responsibilities include:\nFinancial & team leadership \n\nLead a finance team of 2 to ensure deliverables are met within deadlines and to a high standard.\nSupport and mentor team members to promote professional development.\nReporting, financial planning & operational financeManage month-end closing processes including accruals and supporting reconciliations to ensure a high level of accuracy and compliance.\nManage periodic reporting processes to ensure internal and external stakeholders receive accurate and meaningful reporting within deadlines including budget vs actual analysis, cashflow projections and consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS. \nManage annual audit process to ensure completion within agreed deadlines. \nSupport with the preparation of annual budgets including presentations to stakeholders to achieve sign off within agreed timeframes.\nManage payment processes including invoice approvals, coordinating payment runs, releasing payments in bank accounts and supporting with payroll review and approval. \nAd-hoc financial analysisforinternal and external stakeholders.\nGovernance, statutory reporting & taxEnsure all group entities remain compliant with local statutory reporting and filing regulations.\nOversee tax compliance, ensuring filings and payments to made within deadlines across all entities.\nEnsure debt and equity structures are correctly implemented and maintained.\nBanking & cash managementHold key banking relationships, ensure robust internal controls are implemented and maintained and oversee user access rights.\nEnsure compliance with external facility agreements and support on refinancing activities including reviewing interest and fee calculations.\nLiquidity management including coordinating drawdowns and repayments on external debt facilities, shareholder capital calls and distributions and debtor and creditor management. \nProjects & business supportProvide support on hotel acquisitions and disposals, including setting up accounting and finance systems and processes for new hotel openings and acquisitions and supporting with transition activities for hotel disposals. \nAssist the development and operations teams with finance related aspects of hotel refurbishments and pre-opening activities.\nReview and improve financial processes and controlsto ensure efficiencies and a high level of governance is maintained.\nWhat we are looking for \n\nA proven background (10+ years of industry experience) in financial and management accounting, including experience in the hospitality industry.\nChartered accountancy qualification is required.\nKnowledge of both local European GAAP and IFRS is required.\nProficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Excel.
