You’ll collaborate with teammates across engineering, analytics, and business functions to build data products that are reliable, well-governed, and designed for real-world impact.\nCore Responsibilities\nOwn strategic product leadership for a family of master and reference data products, with end-to-end accountability for vision, roadmap, and value delivery across the data lifecycle (ingestion, modeling, quality, orchestration, storage, and consumption).\n\nDefine and evolve the target-state architecture and operating model for MDM and RDM, guiding maturity progression across domains while balancing governance, scalability, usability, and speed.\n\nLead cross-functional alignment across data engineering, analytics engineering, platform, governance, and business teams to set and operationalize enterprise standards for data modeling, data quality frameworks, data contracts, and lifecycle ownership.\n\nTranslate complex and often ambiguous business needs into cohesive portfolio-level roadmaps, sequencing initiatives based on risk and business impact.\n\nMaintain strong technical credibility through hands-on SQL and data analysis when needed, while primarily operating at a system-level view across multiple interdependent data products.\n\nOversee resolution of complex, cross-product production issues, driving root cause analysis and durable remediation for data quality defects, pipeline failures, and downstream analytics breakages.\n\nEstablish and continuously improve data product delivery practices including portfolio backlog management, dependency orchestration, CI/CD for data pipelines, observability, and data freshness monitoring.\n\nDrive adoption, trust, and consistency of master and reference data across operational systems, analytics, and reporting by improving discoverability, reliability, and clarity of ownership.\n\nInfluence enterprise planning and investment decisions by representing data product risk, technical constraints, and long-term sustainability in senior stakeholder forums.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nQualificationsUndergraduate degree required; advanced degree or equivalent hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related disciplines preferred.\n\n8+ years of experience in data product management, data engineering, analytics, or closely related roles.\n\nProven experience owning product vision and roadmaps across multiple, interdependent data products or domains.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional initiatives and operate effectively in high-complexity, high-ambiguity environments.\n\nStrong technical fluency in data architectures, data modeling, SQL-based analysis, pipeline orchestration, and data quality frameworks and management.\n\nSpecial Factors\nSponsorship\nVanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.About Vanguard\nAt Vanguard, we don't just have a mission-we're on a mission.\nTo work for the long-term financial wellbeing of our clients.
