The role combines people leadership, technical delivery, and strong Java full-stack expertise, with responsibility for technology execution, stakeholder alignment, engineering quality, and team development.\nThe ideal candidate brings a strong software engineering background along with demonstrated experience managing and developing technical teams.\nResponsibilities\nLead and develop engineering teams, providing coaching, performance guidance, and technical direction.\nDrive end-to-end delivery of software solutions, ensuring alignment with business, quality, security, and delivery objectives.\nProvide technical oversight across Java full-stack development, APIs, databases, cloud, and modern web technologies.\nPartner with engineering and business stakeholders to define priorities, manage dependencies, and resolve delivery challenges.\nGuide application design and development using modern engineering and microservices architecture practices.\nPromote strong SDLC, Agile, code quality, testing, security, and CI/CD practices.\nManage delivery risks, priorities, resources, and dependencies across technology initiatives.\nSupport architecture and technical decisions for scalable and reliable enterprise applications.\nDrive continuous improvement across development processes, engineering practices, and team effectiveness.\nBuild a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture through effective leadership, communication, and mentoring.\nQualifications and Skills\nMinimum 8 years of experience in IT project management, Full-Stack development experience, or IT service delivery. Previous leadership experience required.\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. PMP, ITIL, or Agile certifications preferred.\nMinimum 3 years of people management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technology professionals.\nStrong technical background in Java full-stack development, including Java, Spring Boot, JPA, RESTful APIs, GraphQL and microservices; exposure to Python is beneficial.\nFront-end development knowledge across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Node.js, web components, and AEM.\nExperience working with databases such as Oracle, SQL, DB2, and PostgreSQL.\nStrong cloud and infrastructure knowledge, particularly AWS, with exposure to Google Cloud, Nginx, and Akamai beneficial.\nStrong understanding of Agile, SDLC, IT project/service delivery, risk management, IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance practices.\nExcellent people leadership, stakeholder management, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.\nLocation\nThis role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard India.
