It translates commercial, client and investment priorities into scalable technology capabilities, data-driven decision making and measurable business outcomes. The role is accountable for ensuring technology acts as a strategic enabler of growth, innovation and operational excellence across the MAAS business.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnology Strategy and Business Leadership\nPartner with the Head of Multi-Asset and Adviser Solutions (MAAS) and the wider leadership team to define and execute the technology vision supporting business, proposition and client objectives, and fulfilling all regulatory obligations.\nShape the long-term technology, data, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) strategy for MAAS.\nDeliver on all business needs, as well as identify opportunities where digital capabilities, analytics and AI can drive growth, improve client outcomes and increase scalability across:Model Portfolio Services (MPS)\nPortfolio Consulting and Analytics\nClient and adviser insights\nBusiness intelligence, flow monitoring and pipeline analytics, regulatory obligations\n\nRepresent technology throughout strategic planning and business leadership activities.\nBring structured client, adviser, product and market data-driven intelligence into strategic decision making.\n\nTechnology Portfolio Delivery\nOwn the MAAS technology roadmap and ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and technology investments.\nLead the development and evolution of technology capabilities supporting investment solutions, portfolio analytics and client insight generation - as well as fulfilling all of MAAS business regulatory data needs.\nWork across Vanguard's technology organisation to ultimately own and ensure delivery against agreed priorities, timelines and quality standards.\nMaintain an integrated technology portfolio across Multi-Asset Solutions, Model Portfolio Services (MPS) and Portfolio Consulting and Analytics capabilities.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, insight generation, scalability and business effectiveness.\nChampion the adoption of AI-enabled tools, automation and advanced analytics across the organisation.\n\nDigital Product and Platform Leadership\nEstablish product management standards and operating frameworks across MAAS technology, digital and analytics teams.\nOversee the MAAS digital product portfolio, ensuring teams remain focused on the highest-value business opportunities.\nApprove product strategies, roadmaps, business cases and success measures.\nPartner closely with Technology, Data, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure solutions are secure, well governed and scalable.\nDrive decisions relating to the investment, scaling, consolidation or retirement of technology capabilities and products.\n\nData, Analytics and Strategic Intelligence\nDefine and execute MAAS's data and analytics strategy.\nLead the development of management information, business intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities that support business growth and decision making.\nDeliver actionable insights across areas including:Adviser and client intelligence\nPeer analysis and benchmarking\nSales and asset flow analytics\nPipeline management and forecasting\nPortfolio analytics and investment insights\nData-related regulatory obligations\n\nEnsure appropriate governance, quality standards and executive-level communication of analytical outputs.\n\nPeople Leadership and Stakeholder Management\nBuild, lead and develop a high-performing technology, digital and analytics organisation.\nCreate a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.\nEstablish clear operating disciplines, objectives and performance standards.\nPartner with senior leaders across Investments, Technology, Data, Risk and Compliance to align priorities and successfully deliver strategic outcomes.\nDevelop strong relationships across Vanguard to ensure technology capabilities support the firm's long-term objectives.\nExperience\n\nRequired\nSignificant senior technology leadership experience within asset management, wealth management or broader financial services.\nExperience leading software engineering, product management, data, analytics or technology delivery organisations.\nProven track record of developing and executing technology strategies aligned to business objectives.\nExperience delivering complex digital, data, analytics or investment technology programmes.\nStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at executive level.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile delivery methodologies and cloud-based technology platforms.\nUndergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\n\nPreferred\nExperience supporting multi-asset investing, portfolio construction, adviser solutions, platform businesses or model portfolio services.\nUnderstanding of investment products, asset allocation and adviser servicing models.\nExperience delivering data, analytics, artificial intelligence and digital product capabilities.\nGraduate degree preferred.\nHow We Work\nVanguard has implemented a hybrid working model for the majority of our crew members, designed to capture the benefits of enhanced flexibility while enabling in-person learning, collaboration, and connection.
