Within GR&S, Enterprise Security & Fraud (ES&F) protects Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets through leading security and fraud capabilities.\nThe Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization helps protect Vanguard by ensuring crew, consultants, vendors, and partners have the right access to the right resources at the right timeAs an IAM/IGA Engineering Delivery Manager, you will lead a team of technical leads, engineers, and quality engineering professionals responsible for building, modernizing, and supporting Vanguard’s Identity Governance and Administration capabilities. You will provide leadership across engineering delivery, platform reliability, production support, risk and controls, and talent development.You will partner with product, architecture, security, operations, risk and control teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient IAM solutions while driving automation, simplification, and engineering excellence.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the end-to-end delivery and operation of enterprise IAM/IGA capabilities, including identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, access certifications, role management, application integrations, and workflow automation.\nLead engineering modernization and platform initiatives across SailPoint and the broader IAM technology ecosystem, balancing strategic investments with platform maintenance and operational priorities.\nLead, coach, and develop technical leads, engineers, and quality engineering professionals while fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.\nPartner with product owners, architects, technical leads, and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities and business requirements into executable engineering roadmaps.\nManage scope, priorities, capacity, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments across multiple concurrent initiatives.\nEnsure the availability, stability, resiliency, performance, and operational readiness of critical IAM/IGA platforms and services.\nProvide leadership across production engineering, including incident management, monitoring, troubleshooting, release management, vulnerability remediation, platform maintenance, and technology debt.\nEnsure engineering solutions and production changes adhere to information security, technology risk, change management, testing, and control requirements.\nDrive automation and continuous improvement to enhance platform reliability, delivery effectiveness, and operational efficiency.\nBuild strong partnerships across technology, security, architecture, operations, application teams, and external engineering partners.\nCommunicate delivery status, operational health, risks, dependencies, priorities, and key metrics to senior leadership.\nSupport workforce, capacity, financial, and vendor planning while ensuring effective utilization and knowledge transfer across internal and external resources.\n Qualifications:\nMinimum of eight years related work experience, with at least five years of project management experience. Strong people leadership preferred. Delivery of IT/Software implementation preferred.\nUndergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.\nSet the IAM/IGA engineering vision and roadmap, driving senior leadership alignment on technology priorities and investments.\nDemonstrated experience leading and developing engineering or technology delivery teams.\nStrong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), including identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, access governance, certifications, roles, and application integrations.\nExperience managing technology delivery across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, testing, implementation, and production support.\nStrong understanding of production engineering disciplines including incident and change management, monitoring, resiliency, vulnerability management, release management, and technology debt.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, engineering capacity, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.\nStrong leadership, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.\nUndergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or similar solutions in a large enterprise environment.\nExperience with IAM integrations involving Active Directory/Entra ID, Ping, ServiceNow, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.\nExperience with IAM capabilities such as Joiner/Mover/Leaver, access requests, provisioning, role management, access certifications, and application onboarding.\nExperience leading teams responsible for both strategic engineering delivery and L2/L3 production support.\nExperience with automation, CI/CD, APIs, automated testing, observability, and cloud/platform modernization.\nExperience operating in a highly regulated or control-intensive environment.\nCISSP, CISM, SailPoint, PMP/PgMP, cloud, Agile, or related security/technology certifications preferred but not required.\n\n.\nSpecial Factors\nSponsorship\nVanguard is offering visa sponsorship for this position.About Vanguard\nAt Vanguard, we don't just have a mission-we're on a mission.\nTo work for the long-term financial wellbeing of our clients.
