This is a unique opportunity to influence Vanguard's financial planning strategy, partner across the enterprise, and help deliver innovative planning solutions that serve millions of clients.\nIn this role, you will:\nShape Vanguard's financial planning offerings and services across advised and self-directed client experiences.\nLead the evaluation and deployment of new planning capabilities, tools, and solutions.\nPartner with product, technology, methodology, and business leaders to bring innovative planning experiences to market.\nEvaluate and collaborate with internal teams and external providers to deliver best-in-class planning capabilities.\nGuide the oversight and evolution of Vanguard's financial planning tools and services to ensure strong client outcomes.\nBuild, coach, and lead a team of high-performing financial planning subject matter experts. You'll provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew including setting performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.\nWhat we're looking for:\nRequired QualificationsMinimum of 8 years of related professional experience, including at least 5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, financial advice, or a related discipline.\nExperience developing, evaluating, or implementing financial planning or financial advice methodologies, tools, capabilities, products, or solutions.\nExperience applying financial planning expertise to develop or enhance client advice solutions or experiences.\nExperience partnering with cross-functional teams, such as product, technology, business, financial planning, or methodology teams, to develop or implement financial planning or advice solutions.\nExperience leading complex initiatives or programs involving multiple stakeholders.\nExperience building, leading, coaching, or developing teams or financial planning professionals.\nUndergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.\n\nPreferred QualificationsPrior people management or supervisory experience.\n Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.\nGraduate degree.\nExperience developing or implementing digital, technology-enabled, or AI-enabled financial planning or advice solutions.\nExperience supporting financial planning or advice solutions for advised and/or self-directed investors.\nExperience evaluating or managing relationships with external financial planning technology, tools, solutions, or service providers.\n\nSpecial Factors\nSponsorship\nVanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.About Vanguard\nAt Vanguard, we don't just have a mission-we're on a mission.\nTo work for the long-term financial wellbeing of our clients.
