This is a core development role within a new team, focused on building backend services, APIs, and cloud-based applications from the ground up.\nThe ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java, Python, Spring Boot, AWS services, API security, and backend development. Exposure to test automation, observability tools, and Agile ways of working will be an added advantage. This role offers strong end-to-end ownership, hands-on engineering exposure, and the opportunity to work on modern cloud and AI-enabled technologies.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and APIs.\n\nBuild secure, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.\n\nDevelop and maintain AWS-based microservices and serverless solutions.\n\nImplement API authentication and authorization using OAuth, Okta, and JWT.\n\nMonitor application performance using Splunk, Honeycomb, and CloudWatch.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.\n\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvements.\n\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.\n\nSupport production applications and drive service reliability.\n\nWillingness to mentor mid and junior level developers on the team\n\nStrong communication Skills\n\nGood stakeholder management skills to influence technical decisions.\n\nHands-on experience with Agile, Confluence, JIRA, and monitoring and refining dashboards\n\nQualifications and Skills\nMinimum 5+ years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.\n\nBachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA).\n\nProficiency in Java, Spring boot,Python Basics\n\nExcellence in AWS - Lambda, step functions, Dynamo DB, S3, ECS .\n\nWorking knowledge of Splunk, Honeycomb, Cloud watch\n\nGood understanding in API - security - OAUTH/OKTA jwts\n\nProficiency in TDD / BDD- Test Automation Skills (Cucumber).\n\nExperience in Version: Java 17; Python 3.9+; Spring Boot 3.0 +\n\nLocation\nThis role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard India.
