You'll sit at the heart of solution delivery, translating architectural designs into detailed, build-ready specifications that enable engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.\nWorking closely with Architects, Product Owners, Engineering Leads and Data specialists, you'll be the authoritative voice on functional design, interface contracts and data mapping, ensuring that complex initiatives are clearly defined, understood and successfully delivered.\nIf you enjoy solving complex business problems, influencing technical direction and creating specifications that drive real-world outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.\nAbout the role\nAs a Senior Technical Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for producing and maintaining the functional and interface specifications that underpin successful technology delivery.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nTranslating solution architecture into detailed, implementable technical specifications.\nCreating and maintaining functional specifications, process/workload documentation and interface contracts.\nDefining data mappings, transformation logic, validation rules and error-handling behaviours.\nSupporting delivery teams with clear, accurate and testable requirements throughout the SDLC.\nConducting impact assessments across systems, interfaces and data models.\nEnsuring traceability across requirements, processes, specifications and technical designs.\nCollaborating with Architects to resolve design ambiguities and ensure alignment to enterprise standards.\nWorking closely with Engineering and QA teams to ensure solutions are implementable, testable and operationally robust.\nContributing to logical data modelling, data governance requirements and GDPR/PII considerations.\nIdentifying opportunities to improve specification standards, templates and delivery practices across the Architecture community.\nAbout you\nWe're looking for a highly experienced Technical Systems Analyst who combines strong analytical capability with a deep understanding of systems design and integration.\nYou'll bring:\nSignificant experience within Technical Systems Analysis, Systems Design, Solution Design or a similar role.\nA proven track record of producing high-quality functional specifications, interface contracts and data mapping documentation.\nStrong knowledge of systems analysis methodologies and SDLC (Software Development) practices.\nExperience working within complex, multi-system environments.\nUnderstanding of modern integration approaches, including APIs, events and file-based interfaces.\nExperience defining data transformation rules, validation logic and exception handling processes.\nStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.\nExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.\nExperience conducting impact assessments and managing requirements traceability.\nA collaborative and consultative approach, with the confidence to influence stakeholders across Technology and the wider business.\nSome of our benefits\nFlexible, hybrid working model \nInclusive culture and environment, check out our Glassdoor reviews \n£1000 flexible benefits allowance to suit your needs \n30 days holiday + bank holidays \nLinkedIn Learning access \nBonus potential (performance and business-related) \nUp to 25% discount on Very.co.uk \nMatched pension up to 6% \nMore benefits can be found on our career site \nHow to apply\nPlease note that the talent acquisition team are managing this vacancy directly, and if successful in securing this role, you will be required to undertake a credit, CIFAS, Right to Work checks and if a specific requirement of your role a DBS (criminal records) check.
