You will maintain accurate stock files on the warehouse management system and supply accurate information via the support roles to the customer and on-site senior management team.\nFirst line management of teams communicating and resolving operational issues and continuous improvement.\nLeadership:\nResponsible for a small team of Operatives within their defined process.\nEnsuring efficient processes are in place and staff are trained to the required standard.\nCommunicating effectively with all internal and external customers.\nEnsuring robust succession planning.\nMentoring and coaching colleagues within the team\nNature and Area of impact:\nLiaising with customer and make sure all requirements are met effectively and on-time.\nActing as first point of contact for any customer enquiries.\nSupporting the Department Operations Manager in development of the commercial relationship\nBudget/Financial:\nResponsibility for the operational staffing and operational admin budget on shift.\nManage the P.I targets for area of responsibility and drive efficiencies up and lost time down.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide an efficiently run section responsible for achieving performance targets and KPI’s\nResponsible for the Health and safety of work areas.\nAccurate completion of Return-to-work documents of staff reporting to them on shift.\nManaging staff performance through the company policies adhering to set Service Level Agreements.\nManage production and interpretation of KPI’s and other statistical information and ensure data is submitted on time.\nProvide period review financial / KPI reports relating to area of responsibility in KPI’s to the Operations Manager.\nAchieve the department KPI’s and continually strive to improve year on year performance.\nBe part of any project team when introducing new systems of work within the operation / business,\nHousekeeping and effective management of WMS to drive stock and operational efficiencies.\nLiaise with internal and external customers.\nSupport the Operations Manager as part of the department team to maintain effective stock control. \nResponsibility for the integrity of stock received, Picked / Dispatched and Returned so accurate data is visible on the WMS.\nMaintain high levels of stock accuracy.\nReport any influences which affect performance or are outside normal operating practices.\nCompliance to all SLA’s and contractual KPI’s.\nEffective management of operational processes and review in line with changes and strategy i.e., business core values.\nProvide an administration service to ensure compliance to service levels, company and legislative requirements, to support the Operations Manager in the optimisation of available warehouse space.\nCarry out any other duties as required to support colleagues or the company when needed.\nAbout you\nCompliance to all SLA’s and contractual KPI’s.\nPrevious experience working in a warehouse environment\nPrevious experience working a Supervisory or Managerial role.\nAbility to monitor and improve staff performance against targets in a busy environment.\nPC literate (Microsoft Office).\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to deal with multiple tasks and to prioritise work of others.\nAble to make judgemental decisions regarding safety and operational issues.\nSome of our benefits\nInclusive culture and environment, check out our Glassdoor reviews \n£250 flexible benefits allowance to suit your needs\n27 days holiday + bank holidays\nLinkedIn learning access\nBonus potential (performance and business-related)\nUp to 25% discount on Very.co.uk\nMatched pension up to 6%\nMore benefits can be found on our career site \nHow to apply\nPlease note that the talent acquisition team are managing this vacancy directly, and if successful in securing this role, you will be required to undertake a credit, CIFAS, Right to Work checks and if a specific requirement of your role a DBS (criminal records) check.
