You’ll bring structure to testing, give stakeholders a clear view of progress and risk, and help teams make confident decisions about whether new releases are ready to go live.\nThis is an opportunity to influence testing from the outset rather than simply becoming involved at the end. You’ll help shape the strategy, methodology and standards used across both agile and waterfall projects, while remaining close enough to the detail to investigate defects and support test execution yourself.\nKey Responsibilities:\nYou’ll be the main point of contact for testing matters, working with technical, project and operational colleagues to turn requirements into practical, well-controlled test activity.\nYou’ll:\nDefine test strategies, scope, plans, scripts, acceptance criteria and go/no-go measures.\nLead User Acceptance Testing and regression testing across multiple projects.\nTrack test results, defects, risks and issues, giving stakeholders a clear view of release readiness.\nCoordinate other testing resources when required, ensuring activity is focused and effective.\nTranslate functional requirements into testing that reflects how systems will work in an operational environment.\nInvestigate issues, recommend solutions and escalate risks at the right time.\nSupport new releases with clear documentation and input into standard operating materials.\nAbout you\nWe’re looking for someone who combines structured testing knowledge with the confidence to work across technical and operational teams.\nYou’ll ideally have:\nExperience testing core systems, preferably within a large-scale automated logistics or warehouse operation.\nStrong knowledge of system testing, regression testing and User Acceptance Testing.\nExperience creating testing strategies, plans, scripts and acceptance criteria.\nFamiliarity with test management or technical tools such as SOAPUI and AWS.\nExperience working with technical and business stakeholders, including project, development and operational teams.\nThe ability to identify, explain and challenge differences between expected and actual system behaviour.\nExperience with KNAPP WCS/WMS or Dürkopp systems would be particularly valuable.\nSome of our benefits\nInclusive culture and environment, check out our Glassdoor reviews \n30 days holiday + bank holidays\nLinkedIn learning access.\nBonus potential (performance and business-related)\nUp to 25% discount on Very.co.uk\nMatched pension up to 6%\nMore benefits can be found on our career site \nHow to apply\nPlease note that the talent acquisition team are managing this vacancy directly, and if successful in securing this role, you will be required to undertake a credit, CIFAS, Right to Work checks and if a specific requirement of your role a DBS (criminal records) check.
