This role supports equipment reliability, process optimization, and project execution by applying strong engineering design skills, Lean practices, and Design Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology.\n\nThis position serves as a key link between Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations, providing technical input to improve equipment design, operation, reliability, and maintainability. The Project Engineer 2 will lead and support project and process engineering activities, identify opportunities for improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, and provide technical assistance to stakeholders throughout TWG Operations.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have strong examples of process design, optimization, troubleshooting, and project management experience within a consumer goods manufacturing environment. Curiosity and hands-on problem-solving are key attributes, with the expectation that the candidate will continue to grow technical expertise across winery processing and manufacturing disciplines. This role will serve as a technical resource for process knowledge, mechanical design, troubleshooting, electrical systems, and other engineering-related support needs.\n\nIdeal candidates will have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field, along with 5+ years of engineering and project management experience. EIT and PE certifications are a plus.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nTechnical resource for capital projects across operations group within TWG, i.e., Project planning, scheduling, cost control, alternatives, best practices.\nOversees key projects, processes, and performance reports. Provides input on design and development activities to improve, modify existing or design new equipment, processes, and capabilities.\nMethodical troubleshooting skills with extensive hands-on experience have proven invaluable in this role.\nApplies strong working knowledge of industrial control system design including instrumentation, data communications, motor controls, and industrial electrical wiring practices.\nParticipates in engineering department and interdepartmental planning activities and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization and operations.\nEnsures GMP, safety and quality of projects and compliance to standards.\nImplement concepts in Design Reliability to support operations.\nRead, analyze, and interpret complex engineering documents.\n\nOTHER FUNCTIONS\nWrite technical positions and articles using original or innovative styles. Make effective and persuasive technical presentations on controversial or complex topics to senior management.\nWorks with diverse groups of varying project management experience, expected to mentor operations employees assigned capital projects, other Project Managers, Process Engineers, etc. Works with operations Production Engineers as they develop skill sets related to solid scientific methods of process control and troubleshooting.\nDevelop and maintain TWG Construction Standards, project permitting including oversight and compliance with regulatory standards.\nPortion of time allocated to R and D, industry trends, supplier/contractor development.\nThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMust be 21 years or older at time of hire.\nBachelor’s degree in any ABET-accredited Engineering or Engineering Technology program. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred.\n5+ years’ engineering experience required in a consumer goods manufacturing environment, including experience in control systems, equipment selection, and process development and adherence.\nEIT, PE certifications preferred but not required.\nPMP certification preferred or solid examples of capital project management.\nCuriosity and aptitude for hands-on work coupled with strong analytical skills are traits of successful candidates.\nAbility to thrive in collaborative environments and capable of taking leadership role on projects.\nAbility to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nDesired experience to include familiarity with industrial control system design, programming, and commissioning.\nAbility to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts and apply rigorous analysis.\nAbility to apply logical principles combined with applied scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.\nAbility to deal with concrete and abstract variables.\nComprehensive knowledge of technologies in different industries.\nAutoCAD, Visual Basic and database utilization experience.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nAble to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.\nAbility to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in a production and office environment.\n\nCOMPENSATION\nSalary Pay Range Posted: $89,600 – $134,400.\nActual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge and abilities, education, and other position-related factors.\n\nAt The Wine Group, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
