We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nARCO/Murray is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of\nmission-critical facilities, including hyperscale data centers and other high-reliability\ninfrastructure. This role will include the development of practical electrical designs, the\ncoordination with internal and external project partners, and providing technical support\nthroughout procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.\nThe ideal candidate is a technically strong, collaborative engineer who can translate\nproject requirements into coordinated, constructible electrical systems while maintaining\na high standard for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.\nA DAY IN THE LIFE\nDevelop and review electrical designs for medium-voltage and low-voltage powerdistribution systems.\n\nPrepare and review one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, equipmentschedules, load summaries, feeder schedules, and design narratives.\n\nSupport the design of utility services, substations, transformers, switchgear,generators, UPS systems, automatic transfer equipment, distribution equipment,\ngrounding, and emergency power systems.\n\nPerform or coordinate load-flow, short-circuit, protective-device coordination, arcflash,voltage-drop, and equipment-sizing studies.\n\nCoordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, controls,fire protection, civil, and construction teams.\n\nParticipate in BIM coordination, design reviews, constructability reviews, andinterdisciplinary page turns.\n\nReview vendor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, equipment data, and proposeddesign changes for technical compliance and constructability.\n\nCollaborate with procurement and project teams on long-lead electricalequipment, technical evaluations, and supplier coordination.\nProvide field engineering support during installation, startup, testing, and\ncommissioning.\n\nAssist with troubleshooting, punch-list resolution, functional performance testing,and turnover documentation.\n\nApply applicable requirements from the NEC, NFPA standards, IEEE standards,local codes, and project specifications.\n\nCommunicate technical decisions, risks, and action items clearly to projectstakeholders.\n\nSupport continuous improvement of design standards, templates, checklists, andengineering workflows.\n\nNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.\nApproximately 3-8 years of electrical engineering experience; mission-critical, datacenter, industrial, utility, or high-reliability facility experience is strongly preferred.\n\nWorking knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical distributionsystems and emergency power systems.\n\nExperience interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, equipment data, andtechnical studies.\n\nProficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, orsimilar analysis software is preferred.\n\nUnderstanding of electrical construction methods, equipment procurement,commissioning, and field coordination.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.\nAbility to travel to project sites as needed.\nWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU\nOpportunity to work on high-visibility mission-critical and energy projects.\nCollaborative, design-build environment with direct exposure to engineering,procurement, construction, and commissioning.\n\nProfessional development and opportunities for expanded technical and projectresponsibility.\n\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package.\nWe are dedicated to the well-being of our associates and are proud to be consistently recognized as a Best Place to Work.
