Midwest Concrete Constructors (MCC) is looking for a highly motivated Concrete Project Manager Intern to join our team in Richmond Heights.\nAs part of the $5B+ ARCO Family of Companies, MCC is backed by the strength and presence of a leading, national design-build general contractor, giving you the opportunity to provide turnkey concrete foundation, slab on grade, tilt-up, and exterior pavement solutions for projects spanning all sizes coast to coast.\nBecause MCC is committed to creating opportunities for individual success, from day one, you will be given the tools to excel in your role, take on meaningful responsibilities, and experience why MCC is truly the best place to build your career. \nA DAY IN THE LIFE\nAt MCC, an Intern works during the summer and has the opportunity to assist Project Managers with the following:\nEstimating - Describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to the projects\nScheduling - Creating a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time\nDesign meetings - Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design proposals from structural engineers and architects\nBuyout - Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors. Receive and evaluate proposals, then award the subcontracts\nPermitting - Fill out permit forms, submit forms with drawings and fees, then send to city/county/fire and wait for approval\nShop Drawing and Submittal Review - Receive shop drawing or submittal from subcontractor, give to PM, communicate to subcontractor that they can begin ordering material and working\nBilling - Subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications\nJob Site Visits - Visit job site with PM, make sure project is running smoothly\nNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS\nEnrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program\nMinimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0\nPrevious Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic\nWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU\nAt MCC, we are committed to taking care of our greatest asset - our team.
