Product Manager

Your mission

CALM’s digital products play an important role in helping people find support when they need it. Your job is to make that experience even better.

You’ll be at the heart of a collaborative team, leading the development and continuous improvement of the CALMzone app. You’ll turn user insight, data and ideas into intuitive, accessible experiences. You’ll work across product, design, research, data and technology, with plenty of scope to shape the app and contribute to CALM’s wider digital ecosystem.

Please note:This role strictly requires proven experience in mobile app product management (launching and/or running an app on iOS/Android). Applications with solely web, digital marketing or CRM experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Delivery

• Deliver the mobile product strategy, as defined by the Senior Product Manager.
• Manage the app through all stages of the lifecycle: discovery through to optimisation and iteration.
• Own the continuous improvement of the app, including accessibility, onboarding and bootflow.
• Manage the app’s technical health and stability across a range of devices.
• Create, maintain, and prioritise product backlogs, ensuring alignment with organisation goals and user needs.
• Define user stories with acceptance criteria and guide development teams through delivery.

Mobile Experience & Insight

• Act as a UX lead mapping and optimising mobile user journeys, ensuring they are intuitive, inclusive, and insight-led.
• Working with the Insight and Analytics team generate user insights through research, usability testing, and data analysis, and translate findings into actionable improvements.
• Champion user-centred design and accessibility best practices.
• Collaborate with mobile researchers, UI/UX designers, app developers, and agencies to ensure excellent delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, align priorities, and report progress.
• Act as a translator between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote a data-driven, test-and-learn culture across teams.
• Ensure that the CALMzone app is strategically aligned.
• Continuous Improvement
• Monitor and analyse app performance using data, analytics, and feedback loops.
• Drive a culture of continuous optimisation and regular update cadence.
• Keep up-to-date with product management best practices, trends, OS and app store trends, bringing innovations into the CALMzone app.

Experience

• Hands-on Mobile app experience: 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager launching and/or running a mobile app. Junior or associate Product Managers will be considered.
• Experience managing an app through the full product lifecycle, including familiarity with App Store and Google Play releases processes.
• Strong UX background with experience leading user journey mapping, defining user stories, and ensuring inclusive, accessible design.
• Excellent ability to work across teams and with external partners (designers, developers, agencies).
• Strong analytical skills, using data and research to inform decisions.
• Confident communicator and stakeholder manager, able to champion product thinking across CALM.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience managing web platforms, CMS development, or digital products alongside mobile apps.
• Experience with livechat products such as WhatsApp, or AWS webchat.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and integration with mobile app data.
• Experience working in an environment where time-management, prioritisation and adaptability are key.
• Awareness of the not-for-profit or charity sector, or experience working with diverse user groups.

• Based: London Waterloo twice a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) / Remote Working (Mon, Tues & Fri), 9.30am - 5.30pm.
• Salary: £38,000 - £45,000. We benchmark our salaries to ensure our pay structure remains fair, transparent, and equitable for everyone in our team.
