In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing your clinical expertise, and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.Job Description:\nSCHEDULE:\nFull Time - 36hrs/wk\nNights 7pm to 7am. \nEvery 4th Weekend Rotation\nWork the holiday that falls on your scheduled day\nWill to work in X-ray and CT.\nABOUT THE FACILITY\nThe Fond du Lac campus will have emergency care, 10 inpatient beds, and 24/7 coverage with board-certified emergency medicine physicians. For patients requiring additional care, observation and tests, Computed Tomography (CT) scans, x-ray, and ultrasound services will be provided.\nClick here to learn more about ThedaCare’s vision for 2025.\nKey Accountabilities\nProvides professional, empathetic, and compassionate care to team members, patients, families, and significant others. Greets patients and their families, assists patients with dressing/undressing, transports or ambulates patients, and assists patients with comfort needs.\n\nDemonstrates working knowledge of equipment and safety practices in the areas of responsibility\n\nExhibits competency and skills needed to perform radiology procedures according to manufacturer, medical/department standards and protocols, and sets appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.\n\nDemonstrates competency in intravenous access and administration of contrast in accordance with established protocols. Is knowledgeable regarding types and uses of contrast, as well as recognizing and responding to contrast reactions, side effects and extravasations including proper documentation.\n\nCompletes department tasks such as stocking supplies, checking outdated supplies, performing safety audits or tracking, and cleaning rooms and equipment to remain compliant with requirements, regulations, and policies.\n\nProvides practical instruction for patients, families, and other health care professionals.\n\nApplies critical thinking skills and ensures order accuracy when triaging and prioritizing patients.\n\nPractices safety at all times, which includes adhering to ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles for proper radiation safety for self and patients, using mobilization and immobilization devices, following safe patient handling practices, following infection prevention practices (proper personal protective equipment), and following hand hygiene to comply with all government agencies or other regulatory bodies.\n\nCompletes documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy/procedure including proper image management and accurate documentation in electronic medical record.\n\nAdditional duties as assigned for Community Hospitals are as follows:\nCollect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures, demonstrate ability to perform laboratory Quality Controls and Assessments, and routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and function according to Laboratory Policy and Procedure. Staff will support a best-in-class patient experience by utilizing downtime as productively as possible, to include aiding in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit. Tasks include the following:\nEKGs\n\nObtaining vital signs\n\nVenous access w/ blood collection\n\nMeasuring and fitting of ambulation aids\n\nSplinting\n\nBladder scanning\n\nRestraint application\n\nQualifications\nGraduate of an accredited radiography program.\n\nWisconsin License\n\nAmerican Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)\n\nAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)\n\nOne-year experience in 2 or more imaging modalities AND advanced certification in MRI, CT, or mammography within 18 months\n\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance\n\nCategory 1: Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties\n\nWork Environment\nClinical, Patient Facing:\nNormally works in climate-controlled office environment\n\nFrequent sitting with movement throughout office space\n\nFrequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments\n\nOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.\n\nOccasional high noise level in work environment.\n\nPossible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.\n\nOccasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients.\n\nUse of computers throughout workday\n\nSCHEDULE:\nFull Time -
