Furthers the professional practice of nursing at ThedaCare by promoting a culture of innovation and a commitment to growth and professional development.Job Description:\nSCHEDULE:\nRotating 12 hour shifts (5:30p-6a / 5:30a-6p)\n\nEvery 3rd weekend is required to work (Fri-Sun)\n\nRotating holiday schedule required\n\nUNIT DETAILS (Neuro-Neenah Hospital):\nThe Neuro unit is a 16-19 bed inpatient and intermediate care unit that focuses on strokes, brain surgery, and spine, and is a stepdown to the ICU. Our Neenah hospital is a level II trauma center with a higher acuity patient population. This unit is fast-paced to meet the demands and needs of our patients with a dedicated team that performs with the highest quality of care! We foster great learning opportunities and welcome New Grads and Seasoned Staff! Block schedules and self-scheduling are available to discuss upon interview. \nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nUtilizes the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and specific competencies to assess the physical condition and nursing needs of patients, and develops a plan of care in a collaborative practice with the patient and interprofessional team.\n\nPlans for the care needs of the patient in collaboration with the interprofessional team to provide the highest quality of care and clinical outcomes.\n\nDemonstrates clinical expertise in the provision of care in the clinical specialty assigned, and performs all functions of the professional clinical nurse (RN), which are age appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific.\n\nIdentifies ways to improve the patient’s experience of care, streamline care processes, and lower costs while promoting quality to improve patient, family, and team member satisfaction.\n\nContributes to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development to retain expert clinicians.\n\nProvides consultation and maintains positive relationships with physicians and other interprofessional team members, collaborating to problem solve and improve patient care.\n\nDemonstrates, anticipates, and proactively manages risk to prevent crises. 8.
