In conjunction with the provider during office visits, will provide injury prevention, treatment, and care planning for the orthopedic and sports medicine patient based on provider protocol.Job Description:\nSchedule:\nMonday - Wednesday: Neenah\nThursday: Appleton\n8:00 am - 4:30 pm\nNo Weekends No Holidays\nKey Accountabilities\nGathers pertinent clinical patient information and documents to ensure accuracy of the patients’ medical record.\nCoordinates care with the physician to provide education regarding injury prevention and treatment.\nConsults with the physician to create the patients plan of care.\nActs as a scribe for the physician for each patient/physician experience to improve clinic/patient flow and efficiencies.\nPreparation and/or assisting with in office procedures to provide optimal patient experience and quality care.\nCasting and splinting; fits crutches, braces and other durable medical equipment to achieve best practice and highest quality patient outcomes.\nDemonstrates professional and therapeutic relationships with patients, families, team members, and providers. Knowledge of state law and national regulations, athletic training guidelines as outlined by the National Athletic Training Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) and state of Wisconsin licensure, clinic policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met.\nPerforms other clinical and administrative tasks that allow for effective use of resources to best serve the patient’s needs.\nQualifications Athletic Trainer:\nBachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training\nCertified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC)\nLicensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Wisconsin.\nAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance\nCategory 1: Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties\nWork Environment\nFrequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments\nOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. \nOccasional high noise level in work environment.\nPossible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.\nOccasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients.\nUse of computers throughout work day\nFrequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist and fingers\n\nScheduled Weekly Hours:\n32Scheduled FTE:\n0.8Location:\nOrthopedic Spine and Pain Clinic -
