Evaluates image quality and utilizes proper radiation safety practices.Job Description:\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nDemonstrates working knowledge of equipment and safety practices in the areas of main department, interventional radiology, surgery, emergency department, and outpatient surgery.\n\nDemonstrates knowledge and skills needed to perform all radiology procedures per protocol and adjusts techniques according to patient needs, i.e., critical or emergency. Consults with providers as needed.\n\nProvides practical instruction for students and other health care professionals.\n\nApplies critical thinking skills and ensures order accuracy when triaging and prioritizing patients.\n\nCompletes documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy or procedure including proper image management and accurate documentation in electronic medical record.\n\nPractices safety at all times, which includes adhering to ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles for proper radiation safety for team members and patients using mobilization and immobilization devices, following safe patient handling practices, following infection prevention practices (proper personal protective equipment), and following hand hygiene to comply with government agencies or other regulatory bodies.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School diploma or GED preferred\n\nMust be 18 years of age\n\nGraduate of an accredited radiography program\n\nARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)\n\nAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)\n\nWisconsin license\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nAbility to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance\n\nJob classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nFrequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments\n\nOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock\n\nOccasional high noise level in work environment\n\nPossible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents\n\nOccasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients\n\nScheduled Weekly Hours:\n4Scheduled FTE:\n0.1Location:\nThedaCare Medical Center -
