Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate, safe care and demonstrated commitment to continuous growth and professional development.Job Description:\nSCHEDULE:\n(3) 12-hour NIGHT shift \nShift: 5:30p-6a\nEvery 3rd weekend is required to work (Fri-Sun)\nRotating holiday schedule required\nUNIT DETAILS (Neuro-Neenah Hospital):\nThe Neuro unit is a 16-19 bed inpatient and intermediate care unit that focuses on strokes, brain surgery, spine and is a stepdown to the ICU. Our Neenah hospital is a level II trauma center with a higher acuity patient population. This unit is fast pace to meet the demands and needs of our patients. Our team is dedicated to the highest quality of care and fosters great learning opportunities.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nPerforms delegated patient care activities using evidence-based practice and specific competencies for the patient population served.\nChecks patients’ vital signs, height, and weight, as needed, based on patient type.\nProvides compassionate care and listens to patients’ concerns and guides them by answering any questions or concerns.\nIdentifies and escalates changes in patient status or patient risks to prevent crisis.\nCollects clinical data and information on patients and reports to care team.\nRepositions, transfers, ambulates and transports patients.\nAssists patients with basic needs (such as hygiene, eating, using the restroom, and dressing).\nObtains and reports patient intake and output.\nPerforms electrocardiograms (ECGs) as directed.\nPerforms phlebotomy and specimen collection.\nProvides care that is age appropriate, culturally specific, and developmentally appropriate in an environment that promotes patient safety.\nDemonstrates professional and therapeutic relationships with patients, families, team members, and providers.\n QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School diploma or GED preferred• Must be 18 years of age required expect for Peabody Manor, The Heritage or Juliette Manor\nPrevious healthcare experience preferred\nAmerican Heart Association HealthCare Provider Life Support (BLS)\n PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nAbility to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance\nJob classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties\nManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nFrequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments\nOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock\nOccasional high noise level in work environment\nStanding and/or walking for extended periods of time\nTransporting, transferring, positioning patients and/or equipment from one location to another;
