Follow @EconomistCareers on Instagram to discover the people, stories and opportunities that make TEG unique.\nHow you will contribute:\nProactively interact with stakeholders to understand business requirements and subsequently translate them into highly technical specifications and architectural designs;\n\nManage delivery of functional and technical solutions and system integrations,including testing strategy and execution;\n\nEnsure proposed technical solutions runs with efficiency and meets Salesforce coding best practices and code coverage to be at 90%+;\n\nManage existing and build new integrations between Salesforce and other applications;\n\nPerform and execute functional testing;\n\nWork with business colleagues to agree and gain user acceptance;\n\nCreate and keep Salesforce-related technical documents and training materials up-to-date;\n\nKeep up-to-date with new Salesforce releases and promptly identify features which could add value to the Economists Salesforce users and those which will impact existing processes and require urgent attention as required;\n\nPerform administrative tasks such as creating or updating fields, page layouts, flows,reports and dashboards and managing data using data loader or other tools.\n\nExperience working in a product-led development environment, with a focus onquality and velocity to deliver our roadmap.\n\nChampion the continued evolving security practices of the platform.\n\nProvide technical leadership to our Salesforce team in India.\n\nThe ideal skills for this role are:\nAt least having Salesforce Application Architect, Salesforce System Architect, and Platform Developer II certifications.\n\n5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in APEX and LWC.\n\nExtensive experience with Sales, Service and Experience Clouds.\n\nExperience in designing data models that are able to support LDV scenarios.\n\nExperience in building custom APIs within Salesforce.\n\nExtensive experience with different Salesforce Integration capabilities.\n\nDeep understanding on various integration patterns and has the right experience to recommend the best approach for the given scenario.\n\nExperience in designing and optimising complex SOQL and SOSL queries.\n\nExperience in creating custom Lightning Web Components (LWC).\n\nExperience in structuring code using APEX Enterprise Design Pattern.\n\nPoint-and-click development within a Lightning environment.\n\nAnalysis and design through to successful implementation of Salesforce.com,including experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit, including Apex Classes,Controllers, Triggers, Batch jobs, Queueable;\n\nAbility to manage code coverage within the governance limit.\n\nAbility to provide application users with technical and functional support.\n\nA good understanding of the Salesforce data model, alongside designing future object definitions and relationships.\n\nExposure to Agile development methodologies and JIRA as a project management application.\n\nExcellent teamwork with both clients and colleagues.\n\nComfortable working with AI tools to accelerate development\n\n#LI-Hybrid \nWorking Arrangements\nThe majority of our roles operate on a hybrid working pattern, with 3+ days office attendance required. \nAI usage for your application\nWe are an innovative organisation that encourages the use of technology.
