Lead daily activities, inspire young minds and collaborate with a supportive team.\nWhat are the hours like?\nRotating shifts between 7:00am-6:00pm \nWhat do we offer?\nPay rate ranges from $16.00 per hour - $19.00 per hour, based on education and experience\nOur center offers such benefits as paid time off, medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, paid holidays, retirement plans, life insurance, and short- and/or long-term disability\nWe are committed to establishing a nurturing, stimulating, and loving environment for all children enrolled.\nWhat are the duties and responsibilities?\nEnsure accurate electronic and paper attendance is always kept.\nKnow the number of children in your care at all times.\nInteract closely with children at their level.\nSit with children when they are eating.\nEnsure proper positioning when outside so that children remain within sight and sound at all times.\nEnsure State Incident Reports are used when appropriate and are properly completed, signed, and filed.\nBe aware of every child’s physical and emotional needs and adapt your interactions to best support.\nAlways keep children within sight and sound supervision.\nEnsure that children are always within state ratio requirements.\nEnsure that name-to-face attendance and counts are conducted when moving children outside of the classroom and at every threshold.\nChange children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting.\nCommunicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents.\nComply with work policies and procedures per school trainings, Employee Handbook, Goddard QA, State, and The Department of Health.\nUnderstand and be able to apply Goddard Emergency Procedures.\nPerform minor cleaning responsibilities (e.g., spills, dusting, sweeping) immediately or during nap time.\nPerform major cleaning during times when children are not present.\nUnderstand and adhere to Goddard’s Behavior Policy & The Children’s Bill of Rights.\nFaculty shall be able to demonstrate the skill and competence necessary to contribute to each child's development.\nWhat are the required qualifications?\nAn Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education\nOR two years of previous experience with children, and this does not have to be in a childcare center! Have you volunteered with children before? Are you a former or retired teacher? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children.\nWillingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs.\nAble to bend at the waist and knees frequently and as needed while caring for children.\nAble to sit on and get up from a child sized chair frequently throughout the day.\nAble to sit on and get up from the classroom floor frequently throughout the day.\nAble to stand and walk for 7-8 hours per day.\nOur opportunities are a great way to get a start in your career that offers a lot of room to grow within our organization.
