Reporting to the Senior Director of Construction, this role serves as a trusted partner and extension of construction leadership, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, contractual obligations, and quality standards.\nThis is a highly collaborative role for an experienced construction professional who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, building relationships, and helping teams succeed. You will coordinate contractors, support project execution, monitor subcontractor performance, and serve as a key liaison between construction management, engineering, project controls, quality, and craft teams.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical construction experience with exceptional interpersonal skills. We're looking for someone who leads through partnership, develops trust quickly, coaches others, communicates with empathy, and creates an environment where people can perform at their best.\nResponsibilities\nConstruction Execution\nProvide daily field oversight of construction activities across assigned project scopes.\nMonitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.\nIdentify execution risks early and work collaboratively with project teams to develop practical solutions.\nCoordinate construction activities with integrated project teams.\nSupport startup planning, turnover activities, punch list completion, and project closeout. \nSubcontract & Contract Management\nProvide oversight of subcontractor execution, ensuring compliance with Statements of Work (SOW), contracts, technical requirements, and project expectations.\nMonitor contractor productivity, staffing, schedule performance, and quality of work.\nParticipate in scope reviews, change management, field issue resolution, and contractor coordination meetings.\nSupport contract administration, progress verification, and field acceptance activities.\nWork closely with Project Controls to monitor integrated schedule, cost, earned progress, and execution metrics.\nEscalate execution risks, contractual issues, or performance concerns as appropriate.\nFacilitate issue resolution and cross-functional communication. \nField Leadership\nBuild strong working relationships across contractors, craft personnel, engineers, inspectors, and project leadership.\nFoster a collaborative, respectful, and accountable construction culture.\nChampion a strong nuclear safety culture and reinforce Human Performance principles.\nMentor junior construction professionals and support their technical and professional development.\nHelp resolve field conflicts through communication, collaboration, and practical problem-solving.\nPromote continuous improvement across construction execution and work processes. \nSafety & Quality\nChampion an uncompromising safety culture and reinforce safe work practices at every level.\nEnsure compliance with quality requirements, procedures, regulatory expectations, and project standards.\nParticipate in field walkdowns, observations, inspections, readiness reviews, and corrective action activities.\nSupport nuclear quality assurance expectations and construction documentation requirements. \nAI & Technology\nLeverage AI-powered tools and digital construction platforms to improve field reporting, documentation, schedule management, issue tracking, constraint mitigation and contractor coordination.\nUtilize construction analytics and digital dashboards to proactively identify execution trends, risks, and opportunities for improved performance.\nSupport the continued evolution of The Nuclear Company's Nuclear Operating System (NOS) through automation and technology-enabled construction practices.\nExperience\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).\n15+ years of construction, field engineering, project management, or construction oversight experience on large industrial, energy, infrastructure, or nuclear projects.\nDemonstrated experience overseeing subcontractors and managing field execution.\nExperience interpreting and administering Statements of Work (SOWs), technical specifications, construction packages, and contract requirements.\nStrong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and project execution.\nExperience coordinating multiple contractors across complex project environments.\nWorking knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, or construction reporting.\nExcellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to travel extensively to project sites.\nPreferred Experience\nNuclear industry construction experience strongly preferred.\nExperience serving as a Subcontract Technical Representative (STR), Contract Technical Representative (CTR), Owner's Representative, Resident Engineer, or similar field oversight role.\nExperience supporting EPC contractors or owner-led construction organizations.\nFamiliarity with ASME Section III, NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and related nuclear quality standards.\nKnowledge of NRC regulations and licensing requirements.\nExperience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar construction management platforms.\nPMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.\nOSHA 30 or equivalent construction safety certification.\nBenefits\nCompetitive compensation packages\n401k with company match\nMedical, dental, vision plans\nGenerous vacation policy, plus holidays\nEstimated Starting Salary Range\n The estimated starting salary range for this role is $150,000 - $173,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis.
