Participants will work alongside experienced engineers, constructors, licensing professionals, project leaders, and Members of Nuclear Staff on real problems tied directly to the development and deployment of nuclear projects. \nThe program provides broad exposure across the nuclear project lifecycle while building deep technical capability in an assigned discipline. Depending on your background and project needs, you may work across mechanical engineering, civil and structural engineering, construction and project delivery, nuclear licensing, Supply Chain and Procurement, systems engineering, or related technical functions. \nFrom your first day, you will be expected to learn quickly, ask good questions, work rigorously, and contribute to meaningful work. \nResponsibilities\nEngineering I participants will typically begin in one of the following areas while gaining exposure to the broader nuclear project lifecycle. \nMechanical Engineering \nYou may contribute to: \nMechanical systems and equipment used in nuclear and conventional power facilities \nPiping, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and rotating equipment \nSystem design and engineering calculations \nEquipment specifications and vendor technical evaluations \nPiping and equipment layout \nThermal-hydraulic and mechanical analysis \nDesign reviews and interdisciplinary coordination \nEquipment installation, testing, startup, and commissioning \nASME and other applicable mechanical codes and standards \nCivil / Structural Engineering \nYou may contribute to: \nStructural steel and reinforced concrete design \nFoundations, anchorage, embedded items, and structural interfaces \nNuclear structures, systems, and components \nSeismic and dynamic design considerations \nSite development and geotechnical interfaces \nStructural calculations and design reviews \nConstruction drawings and specifications \nConstructability and modularization studies \nACI, AISC, ASCE, and applicable nuclear design requirements \nConstruction & Project Delivery \nYou may contribute to: \nConstruction planning and sequencing \nConstructability reviews \nWork packaging and field engineering \nSite logistics and installation planning \nModularization and prefabrication strategies \nContractor and supplier coordination \nEngineering-to-construction interfaces \nRFIs, field changes, and technical issue resolution\nQuality, schedule, cost, and project controls \nTesting, turnover, commissioning, and project closeout \nNuclear Licensing & Regulatory \nYou may contribute to: \nNuclear licensing strategy and regulatory analysis \nLicensing basis development and requirements management \nPreparation and review of regulatory submittals \nNRC regulations, regulatory guides, and industry standards \nSafety analysis and technical evaluations \nResponses to regulatory questions and requests for additional information \nEngineering-to-licensing interfaces \nRegulatory research and precedent reviews \nDevelopment of technical positions supporting nuclear deployment \nExperience\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or a closely related technical discipline. \nExpected graduation between December 2026 and May 2027, with availability to begin full-time employment in Summer 2027. \nStrong engineering fundamentals and demonstrated ability to solve technical problems. \nAcademic, internship, research, design-team, laboratory, construction, or project experience that demonstrates technical curiosity and initiative. \nAbility to learn unfamiliar technical subjects quickly. \nStrong analytical and quantitative skills. \nClear written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to work effectively across engineering disciplines and with people from different technical backgrounds. \nHigh attention to detail and respect for engineering rigor. \nWillingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and take ownership of your development. \nComfort working in an environment with rapidly evolving priorities and significant individual responsibility. \nInterest in nuclear energy, large-scale infrastructure, advanced engineering, or complex technical systems. \nA bias toward action and a desire to see engineering work become something that is actually built. \nBenefits\nCompetitive compensation packages\n401k with company match\nMedical, dental, vision plans\nGenerous vacation policy, plus holidays\nEstimated Starting Salary Range\n The estimated starting salary for this role is $80,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis.
