Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 1-2 years of experience in Node.js to join our growing team. You will work on building scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-based applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google App Engine, and Google Cloud Memorystore (Redis).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js (Express.js/NestJS).
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and database models.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Firebase, and Redis for backend infrastructure.
• Optimize performance, security, and scalability of backend services.
• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, and Firebase Auth.
• Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to integrate APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of hands-on experience in Node.js and backend development.
• Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.
• Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM tools.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud (App Engine, Firebase, Cloud Functions, Memorystore for Redis).
• Experience with authentication and security best practices (OAuth, JWT, API security).
• Knowledge of Git, version control, and Agile methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
