Our mission is to deliver high-quality school-based Audiology services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment.\nJob Description and Responsibilities\nThis is a full-time or part-time on-site role as a School Audiologist serving a school located in Kansas City, Kansas.\nThe School Audiologist will be responsible for supporting students with hearing-related needs through hearing screenings, audiological assessments, monitoring hearing health, and recommending appropriate supports and accommodations within the educational setting. Responsibilities may include collaborating with teachers, special education staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support students' access to instruction and participation in the classroom. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, clinical knowledge, and a passion for working with students with special needs.\nJob Details\nFull-time, 37.5 hours/week\nPart-time 20 hours/week\nOctober - May (26/27) School Year\nOn-site, in-person\nPreK - 5 grades \nJob duties: educational services, case management, evaluations\nDual support from the District and TheraPeds\nCompetitive pay\nGuaranteed hours, including documentation, administrative and planning time\n$50 - $60+/hour ($1875-$2250/week+)\nResponsibilities\nConduct hearing screenings and audiological assessments for students to identify and monitor hearing-related needs.\nEvaluate students' hearing abilities and interpret assessment results to determine appropriate educational supports and services.\nRecommend, monitor, and support the use of hearing assistive technology, amplification devices, and classroom accommodations.\nCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists, families, and other specialists to support students' communication and access to instruction.\nParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute audiological information, recommendations, and goals as appropriate.\nMonitor students' hearing needs and progress, maintaining accurate documentation, assessment records, and service notes.\nProvide guidance to school staff and families regarding hearing loss, hearing technology, and strategies to support students in the educational environment.\nRequirements\nDoctorate degree (Au.D. or equivalent) in Audiology from an accredited educational institution. Applicants holding a master's degree in Audiology earned before January 1, 2012, may also qualify under Kansas licensure provisions.\nCurrent, valid Kansas Audiologist License through the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS).\nCertificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through ASHA preferred.\n1+ years of experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.\nExperience working with children, including students with hearing loss or other special needs.\nStrong knowledge of hearing assessments, hearing assistive technology, and educational accommodations.\nExcellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.\nProficient in the use of technology and electronic documentation.\nAbility to obtain required fingerprint and background clearance.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications.\nPhysical Requirements\nWorking and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.\nBenefits\nBenefits (eligibility dependent on employment status)\nCompetitive compensation package with benefits including health, dental, and vision and 401K (W2) \nResources for health benefit enrollment and hourly rates which includes a stipend for health benefits and taxes (1099)\nOpportunities for professional development and continuing education\nAccess to a supportive network within the TheraPeds community\nGuaranteed Hours\nBi-Monthly Salary Deposits\nThis position will be a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor\nSummary\nTheraPeds Partners is seeking a full-time, on-site School Audiologist for a school-based position in Kansas City, KS.
