This position is ideal for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate or early-career engineer who is interested in HVAC, piping, plumbing, process systems, and design-build project delivery.\nAs an Engineer I, you will work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, field teams, estimators, and detailers to support the design and construction of complex commercial, industrial, advanced technology, and mission-critical facilities. This role is focused on learning the profession, developing technical skills, and building the foundation for a successful engineering career within Therma.\n\nResponsibilities\nAssist with HVAC, piping, plumbing, and process system design under the direction of senior and principal engineers.\nPerform basic engineering calculations, including airflow, duct sizing, pipe sizing, equipment schedules, and load calculations.\nSupport development of engineering drawings, Revit models, schedules, and project documents.\nIncorporate review comments and redlines accurately and in a timely manner.\nMaintain organized project files and documentation.\nParticipate in coordination with project management, VDC/detailing, estimating, and field teams.\nSupport responses to RFIs, submittals, and engineering questions as assigned.\nLearn applicable codes, standards, and Therma design-build practices.\nCommunicate proactively when information is unclear, incomplete, or may impact schedule or deliverables.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.\nStrong interest in building systems, HVAC, piping, plumbing, process systems, or design-build construction.\nExperience with Revit, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other Cad software.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred\nInternship, research, laboratory, construction, fabrication, or engineering project experience.\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire.\nExperience working on team-based engineering or design projects.\nASHRAE student chapter, AFE, ASME, or similar extracurricular engineering involvement.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccessful Engineer I candidates will:\nLearn Therma's design-build engineering standards and processes.\nComplete assigned tasks reliably and on schedule.\nApply feedback effectively and continually improve technical skills.\nDemonstrate strong attention to detail and quality.\nAsk thoughtful questions and actively participate in their professional development.\nContribute positively to project teams while building technical, constructability, and coordination knowledge.\n\nBase salary: $95,000-$110,000 per year.\nNotes: Actual compensation will be based on skills, experience, and work location, and may vary from the posted range.
