The Safety Officer will help promote a strong safety culture across our Boise-area projects by identifying potential hazards, conducting site inspections, supporting employee training and orientations, and helping ensure our teams remain compliant with applicable safety requirements.\n\nWe’re looking for someone who is comfortable being out in the field, building relationships with employees and project leadership, and taking action when something doesn’t look right. If you’re organized, safety-minded, and looking for an opportunity to grow alongside an expanding team, we’d love to hear from you.\nThis position is 100% field-based and will require travel to project sites throughout the Boise market.\n\nResponsibilities\nConduct regular jobsite safety inspections to identify and document hazards, deficiencies, and leading and lagging safety indicators\nRecognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate stop-work action when necessary\nAssist with accident and incident investigations and maintain supporting documentation\nPartner with project management to conduct safety orientations and support the onboarding of field employees\nHelp reinforce safe work practices and promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture across project teams\nPost, maintain, and update required safety documentation, notices, and literature at project sites\nPrepare and maintain safety reports, presentations, spreadsheets, memos, and other documentation\nTrack and organize safety-related information and project documentation using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications\nProvide field and administrative support to safety and project leadership\nCommunicate safety concerns and observations clearly and professionally with field employees and project management\nTravel between Therma project sites throughout the Boise area as business needs require\nSupport additional safety initiatives and responsibilities as assigned\n\nQualifications\nRequired\n1+ years of construction safety experience or closely related field experience\nAbility to recognize onsite hazards and risk factors and confidently take appropriate action\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively with project and field teams\nStrong sense of accountability, follow-through, and ownership\nAbility to regularly work in an active construction environment\nAbility to lift up to 30 lbs., walk four to six flights of stairs, and walk continuously for up to 60 minutes\nAbility to travel between project sites throughout the Boise market\nPreferred\n1-3 years of construction safety experience\nExperience supporting mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or other specialty construction projects\nExperience working with a union workforce\n\n#LI-JS1
