The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels in mentoring engineers, overseeing projects, and engaging directly with clients to deliver high-quality solutions. This role encompasses every phase of the design-build project process, from initial design to construction administration support. As an integral member of our engineering team, you will oversee the entire design process - from conceptualization to the finalization of detailed design and construction documents. Additionally, you will coordinate efforts across multiple disciplines - including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, civil, structural, controls, general construction, and ownership groups – contributing to efficient and timely project progress in a fast-paced environment. \nResponsibilities:\nBespoke building mechanical and plumbing system designs\nDesign heating, cooling, and ventilation load calculations\nConduct design reviews and provide feedback to engineers, project managers, and project executives to improve product quality, efficiency and performance\nOversee and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and budget adherence\nInterface with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to develop innovative and sustainable mechanical designs\nGenerate, review and approve technical drawings, submittals, and specifications as required to ensure compliance with project goals\nEvaluate project submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to determine conformance with contract documents and design requirements\nResearch and analyze customer project requirements, specifications, and data to assess feasibility, program application, and maintenance requirements\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems, implement solutions, and optimize project outcomes\nStay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering and energy-efficient building solutions\nProviding technical guidance and professional development support to the team\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)\nMinimum 8 years of engineering experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the HVAC design-build environment\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of California and MEOR Responsibilities as required\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam\nExpert knowledge of California Building Code, Title 24\nExpert knowledge of ASHRAE guideline(s) 62.1, 55, 90.1\nExpertise in HVAC systems, cooling and heating plants, and MEP design.\nDocument Technical Review & Quality Control\nExpertise in Project Coordination and Project Management \nExperience in client relations and relationship management \nPositive attitude, team player, commitment to achieving a common goal \nEngineering Team Development, Mentoring, and Leadership\nLEED Certification (preferred)\nKnowledge of HVAC BAS/Controls\nExpertise in System Basis of Design (BOD) and Sequence of Operation (SOO) development \nSalary: $165k-$200k, depending on experience\nWe are unable to
