This individual will provide leadership for all manufacturing operations, technical services, and supporting functions to ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable production of Moisture Separator Reheaters (MSRs), Feedwater Heaters (FWHs), Surface Condensers, and other heat exchanger products. This role is accountable for plant performance, including safety, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, workforce development, and full P&L management. The Plant Manager drives operational excellence through Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement initiatives, effective resource utilization, and strategic planning to achieve business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and operational reliability.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage all manufacturing operations, personnel, and departmental performance.\nDevelop and implement manufacturing strategies that support company goals and business objectives.\nOversee hiring, training, performance management, employee development, and compensation planning.\nEstablish production, productivity, quality, customer service, and operational improvement strategies.\nManage manufacturing budgets, control costs, and support financial performance.\nDevelop and implement cost reduction initiatives and improve production efficiency.\nLead problem-solving efforts to address production issues and performance gaps.\nEnsure products meet quality standards and continuously improve manufacturing processes.\nOversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.\nPlan resources and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time customer deliveries.\nMaintain compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements.\nEvaluate equipment investments, facility improvements, and capital projects.\nAnalyze production overruns and support continuous improvement through lessons learned.\nRequirements\nBachelor's Degree in a field preferred with a minimum of 10 years of management experience in the overall direction of manufacturing functions.\nHands-on manufacturing experience in a job shop heavy steel welding and fabrication environment.\nExcellent communication and the ability for directing, training, analyzing and correcting operating inefficiencies.\nMust possess a good understanding of financial management / financial astuteness, as well as possess abilities in problem solving and decision-making based on company policies and procedures. \n\nOTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nPerforms bending, climbing and reaching from ground level to six feet in height.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nManufacturing environment with temperature extremes, hazards from things like lasers or welding arc, or other environmental hazards.\nTo provide greater transparency to candidates, we include base pay ranges for all US-based job postings that encompass all potential locations and levels for the open positions.
