You will work at the intersection of software, instrumentation and science, solving technically challenging problems and turning complex technical and scientific requirements into robust software solutions.\nWorking in an international R&D environment and collaborating across several locations in Europe, you will partner with software and hardware engineers, scientists and domain experts to contribute to the development of our next generation of analytical instruments.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nDesign, develop, test and maintain Python software for Mass Spectrometry instruments\nDevelop software for embedded Linux-based systems and instrument control\nCollaborate with hardware, software and scientific teams to understand and clarify technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions\nInvestigate and solve complex software, communication and instrument-level problems\nContribute to software architecture, code reviews, automated testing and engineering best practices\nParticipate in DevOps and continuous integration processes\nCollaborate with colleagues across international R&D teams and contribute to continuous improvement of our products and development practices\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nUniversity degree in a technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience in software development related to embedded software, scientific applications or other technically complex products\nStrong proficiency in Python development\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExperience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with modern software development and DevOps practices\nAbility to understand, clarify and translate complex technical and scientific requirements into software solutions\nGood written and spoken English and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international teams\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a development team\nWillingness to travel occasionally (up to 5%) for collaboration with colleagues in EU\nNICE TO HAVE\nExperience with C++\nExperience developing software in a Linux environment\nKnowledge of networking and communication protocols\nExperience with communication buses and hardware/software interfaces\nExperience with embedded systems or scientific
