As a Mechanical Engineer II, you'll work on sophisticated scientific instruments and laboratory equipment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize mechanical systems and components. You'll have opportunities to work on challenging technical problems, from concept through production, utilizing advanced CAD tools and engineering principles to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nAdvanced Degree 2 years or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of mechanical design experience in a technical product development environment\nPreferred Fields of Study: Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field\nRelevant professional certifications are advantageous\nExpertise in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO, or NX) and PLM/PDM systems\nStrong knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA principles, and manufacturing processes\nExperience with mechanical design analysis, FEA, and tolerance stack-ups\nProficiency in designing with various materials including metals, plastics, and composites\nDemonstrated ability to perform complex engineering calculations and analysis\nExperience with test plan development, verification, and validation\nStrong project management and documentation skills\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilities\nEffective written and verbal communication skills in English\nAbility to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications\nUp to 25% travel may be required for some
