The vision of Digital Science Solutions is to make it easy for our scientific customers to generate value from their research, development, and manufacturing lab operations.\nReporting into the regional Services Manager, the Technical Lead, working closely with Solutions Architects, Consultants, Project Managers, and other Services colleagues, is responsible for successfully owning the technical delivery of our products and solutions in both, pre- and post-sales, customer engagements.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nStrategic:\nTrusted advisor to our customers, account managers, services leaders, project managers, and delivery teams.\nMaintain and assume accountability for a culture of high customer service.\nEffectively contribute to the digitization & digitalization of our customers through successful technical delivery.\nShare knowledge, mentor, and guide technical personnel to improve and strengthen team capabilities.\nEngage with support, product management, and engineering as needed to get product technical issues addressed.\nOperational:\nTake technical ownership of customer-facing project delivery, and lead solutions design, architecture, configuration and implementation work for our products and solutions to meet customer needs.\nEffectively partner with Solutions Architects, Consultants, and Project Managers to plan and track project delivery, allocate and oversee technical work to resources, and deliver high-quality work on-time, on-budget.\nBe the primary technical point of contact for the customer, including to lead scoping, design, and other workshops.\nEngage in pre- and post-sales project activities and contribute effectively to reviewing customer requirements, authoring RFP responses, requirements trace matrices, functional & technical specification documents, testing & validation plans, installation & user documentation, and other relevant technical project deliverables.\nContribute to improving processes, ensuring compliance, and driving improvements.\nTravel, as needed, for internal and customer meetings.\nCulture:\nIn line with the 4I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement, that form the foundation of the Thermo Fisher culture and ways of working, this role will bring intensity, innovation, and a high degree of involvement to designing, proposing, and delivering on Digital Science products and solutions.\nBusiness Partnership:\nContribute effectively to creating and sustaining a culture of delivering excellent customer experience, embracing continuous learning, leading with digital innovation, analytical thinking, and managing complexity.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nExperience in all aspects of enterprise laboratory informatics technical solutions design and implementation for ELN, LIMS, SDMS, CDS, instrument and systems integration, amongst others.\nExperience with relational databases - Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres - and programming - C#, VGL.\nExperience with cloud services and infrastructure highly desirable.\nDemonstrated experience working in a matrix environment, across internal and external resources and regions.\nUnderstanding of SDLC, Quality and IT processes in the context of delivering and supporting validated systems.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, integrity, and credibility.\nResults focused, with a demonstrated track record of getting things done.\nAttention to detail and a concern for quality.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nCollaborative, initiates and facilitates communications and relevant information sharing, and works with different functions to achieve the best outcomes.\nFlexibility in work schedule to accommodate communications with global team.\nAble to innovate and bring ideas forward and advance issues and risks in a positive way.\nMinimum Education and Experience Requirements\nBachelor’s or master's degree in IT, IS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent.\nAt least 3-5 years of relevant experience in enterprise software technical implementation projects, preferably in professional services with a life & laboratory science software product/ technology services company.\nThermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue of approximately $40 billion.
