This apprentice position provides hands-on training and a clear path for advancement to Setup Associate and beyond.\nWhat you will do:\nLearn and observe safety rules for self and others and ensure that all safety guards and devices are in place and in good condition\nLearn to provide proper care of molds and inspect molds during and after installation and removal\nAssist with positioning assembled molds in press, removing molds and secondary equipment after run, and cleaning and returning to tool room\nLearn and follow the die traveler system\nLearn to connect water lines, shims or auxiliary equipment per the setup sheet\nTrain on machine adjustments per approved set-up sheets, following all pertinent quality work instructions (QWI's)\nKeep equipment storage areas neat and clean\nLearn to identify maintenance problems on machines and remedy air and water leaks on external lines; perform TPM checks as required\nLearn to evaluate secondary equipment to ensure it meets standard\nComplete all required training as defined (including any in-house or outside training)\nNotify Supervisor when assistance from outside departments is needed\nREQUIREMENTS\nHow you will get here:\nMinimum High School diploma or equivalent\nNo prior experience required; willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills\nMolding equipment experience is a plus but not required\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\nProfessional characteristics:\nGood reading, math, and communication skills\nEagerness to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment\nDemonstrated or potential mechanical aptitude\nCommitment to safety and quality standards\n Compensation and Benefits\nThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $17.00-$21.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
