You'll work on sophisticated applications that control our analytical instruments, including mass spectrometers, electron microscopes, and other advanced scientific equipment. As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you'll work with developers, scientists, and stakeholders to validate software that enables groundbreaking research and innovation. Your work will directly impact scientific discoveries in fields like cancer research, drug development, and semiconductor manufacturing. The role is based in our Uppsala office and you need to be able to commute at least three days per week.\nRequirements:\nAdvanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in software testing, with emphasis on automated testing\nPreferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Bioinformatics, or related technical/scientific field\nISTQB certification preferred, particularly Test Automation Engineer certification\nStrong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (TestComplete, Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar)\nExperience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab)\nProgramming skills in one or more languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, Java\nExperience with agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, TestRail)\nStrong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices\nExperience with API testing and test management systems\nAbility to write clear, comprehensive test plans, cases, and documentation\nKnowledge of Windows operating systems and IT fundamentals\nAbility to identify, reproduce, and clearly document software defects\nUnderstanding of scientific principles and laboratory workflows\nExperience with performance testing and automation frameworks\nKnowledge of database systems and SQL\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English\nTo succeed in this role, you should pay strong attention to detail and have a solid quality focus.
