Working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will collaborate closely with electronics, embedded software, instrument software, detector, electron optics and systems engineering teams to develop reliable, deterministic and high-performance digital solutions for scientific instrumentation.\nThis position provides opportunities to participate throughout the product lifecycle, including concept evaluation, detailed design, system integration, verification, product enhancement and sustaining engineering.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFPGA Development\nDesign, develop and verify FPGA solutions supporting SEM instrumentation..\n\nImplement high-speed digital logic for detector interfaces, scan generation, timing control and real-time data acquisition.\n\nDevelop FPGA modules for high-speed communication, synchronization and digital signal processing.\n\nDesign FPGA interfaces to ADCs, DACs, memory devices and embedded processors.\n\nDigital System Design\nDevelop FPGA architectures supporting deterministic real-time operation\n\nDevelop FPGA architectures supporting deterministic real-time operation\n\nImplement hardware interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, LVDS, SPI, I²C, UART and GPIO as required.\n\nSupport integration of FPGA solutions with embedded software and PC software.\n\nParticipate in FPGA resource optimization, timing closure and performance analysis.\n\nSignal Processing & Data Acquisition\nDevelop digital signal processing functions supporting detector readout and image acquisition.\n\nImplement buffering, filtering, timing generation and synchronization functions.\n\nSupport optimization of acquisition throughput, latency and timing accuracy.\n\nCollaborate with detector electronics engineers to optimize end-to-end signal acquisition performance.\n\nVerification & Integration\nDevelop FPGA simulation and verification environments.\n\nPerform laboratory debugging and hardware verification.\n\nSupport board bring-up, system integration and product validation\n\nInvestigate and resolve complex hardware and FPGA issues using structured engineering methods\n\nCross-functional Collaboration\nCollaborate closely with Electronics, Embedded Software, Instrument Software, Detector Electronics, Electron Optics, Mechanical Engineering and Systems Engineering teams.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, engineering documentation and continuous improvement activities.\n\nContribute to reusable FPGA modules and engineering best practices.\n\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.\n\nTypically 8+ years of FPGA development experience.\n\nStrong experience with FPGA development using Verilog, VHDL or SystemVerilog.\n\nExperience using FPGA development environments such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus or equivalent.\n\nStrong understanding of FPGA timing analysis, timing closure, clock domain crossing (CDC) and digital design methodologies.\n\nExperience interfacing FPGA with ADCs, DACs, DDR memory and embedded processors.\n\nExperience with one or more high-speed communication interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, LVDS, USB or Camera Link.\n\nExperience with FPGA simulation and verification tools.\n\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills\n\nEffective communication skills within cross-functional engineering teams.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:\nFPGA development for Scanning
